in all the stickys and posts it says that ALL barrels are the same...so why do people get aftermarket barrels instead of stock or is stcok an exception to the rule of all barrels are basically equal.

paint to barrel match. the most accurate barrels are generally barrel kits because they have a good paint to barrel mathc all the time. i mnea a dye barrel with the right paint is darn accurate, but a freak will always be darn accurate nomatter what paint and the dye will not shoot as great with a crappy paint to barrel match. also quality and barrel material. a higher quality barrel is more expensive. look at a spyder stock barrel, then look at a dye, scepter, J&J edge, freak or anything else. all those barrel are way better made than a spyder barrel, and the internal finish is alos much better, which also contributes to accuracy. ur barrel its probably one of the most important upgrades u make, i mnea if u cant hit anything then what is the point of having a 1400 dollar gun?

yeah, that makes aalot of sence.thanks for the paint to barrel match, and can you screw anything into the front of a freak, or just a certain type of barrel.

That's a waste of money. Jaster did a test on one of his Spyders and found that paint to barrel match only makes minimal difference in accuracy in Spyders. Get a CP 1 Piece and use the rest of the money for a reg, that will help you more performance wise.

Kits aren't necessary on open bolt blowbacks. A nice barrel such as a Teardrop, Ceramic, or a CP 1 Piece will give you great accuracy without spending 180 dollars on a freak.
