I'm looking for a barrel to fit my spyder. What do you guys suggest. I am not looking to buy a boomstick or anything over 65 at the most for that matter. I tend to use proballs and occasionally 32 degrees. Thanks for the input. I was maybe considering the 32 degrees Ice Cold. Anyone hear about that thing??? thanks a lot

i'd say an All American, or a Lapco, but the A.A would be better for the spyder, cause it wouldn't utilize the main reason people like Lapco barrels, and that is for Low Pressure. Also maybe a CP, just look around and see one you like and stick with it.

JJ ceramics and DYE SS (stainless steel) are both very nice barrels [$40 or so for the JJ, $60 or so the DYE]

I've heard the 32 degrees Ice Cold Barrels are good (9.7/10 with 41 reviews) http://www.pbreview.com/318/1/0/ This barrel is a good match for proballs, not sure about 32 degrees paint.

I've used 2 cases of proballs with both a CP and an AA, and haven't broken more than two shots total.

my friend has a blue spyder shutter that he's put a grand total of 500 bucks into(including the gun) and he has a blue cp barrel

i have a black rebel deluxe, all stock except for my black/silver AA stainless steel. (it has better reviews then the regular AA)

we had an accuracy test using a clamp, i didn't have a good paint/barrel match. and he did.

the AA stilll won, also it was alot quieter. draw your own conclusions from this REAL experiment but bear in mind that my friend is now on a search for a blue AA (p.s. there are none) and he is going to get it anadozied.

alright i have decided on aa but now i am not sure on either stainless or the regular kind. i have heard the stainless dont have as good of distance and accuracy, and that the regular have great accuracy and dist. with proballs. i know the reegular one is less.. but ne one know from using both of them????

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but the SS and regular AA's should be the same. The only difference is the SS has a "silver" color to it, and the regular one is black.

the ss is made of a stainless steel piece rather than aluminum..i think..thats the diff but i wonder the diff in performance

i have the stainless AA and my friend david has a regular AA.

he has a stock shutter, i have a stock deluxe.

they are VERY close to the same accuracy with teh same paint, but during rapid fire mine is alot better because the stainless part(the back part) adds weight (about 3 times as much, almost 1 pound total) and since its for a blowback gun, it almost ELIMINATES the blowback or kick of the gun, so it is much more balanced and stable.

although the STAINLESS AA is only made for 14 in. (which is my favorite anyway) but some might want a 16 in. for more quietness or a 12 for speedball (not really necessary, theres not much of a difference.)

if you can get them for a similar price, definately go for the stainless one, but either one is a GREAT CHOICE.

i was gonna get a lapco but got this one and i'm really happy i did.

oh and about the accuracy. mine won, but i have no scientific explanation for why (don't know if its because it was stainless or what).

BUT if the stainless is more than 10 or 15 bucks more than the regular AA, you'd probably be better off just grabbing the regular one and saving a little money. because the stainless is only a little better for accuracy, but it really balances out my twenty oz. tank.

I use a J&J Ceramic with my Spyder TL and I love it. It's much quieter than my stock barrel, and much more accurate. 43.88 at www.888paintball.com free 3 day shipping.
