Player Nicknames?

Got a player nickname. Something other players call you for certain axtions on the field. Named after bravery:?

Alot of people just refer to each other by what guns they ahve if it's uncommon at my field. Refs have called me "Intimidator", not because I'm so darn good, but because that's my gun. Same thing with guy we call sniper, who shoots a.... WGP sniper. Usually if you make a great play in the day, you'll get called "The guy who pulled that awesome <Insert what you did here>", but I find that nicknames dont often stick. Those that know me call me Richard :)

Um usually it "hey you!" or "Hey Pump guy!" with masks and sutff on it is sometimes hard to tell who someone is!

Meh, I s'pose the topic is as valid as any other, probably got turned up by a search gone horribly wrong.

On Topic, I've been; Rambo, Empire guy, Trix Guy, The Cheater, The Overshooter, occasionally the Wiper, and, of course, Tippmann Guy.

The negative ones are all either the result of misunderstandings, and the constant ribbing from my team mates that followed said misunderstandings.

Although the overshooting one was pretty well deserved, I had a day where I was shooting everything that moved, turns out that included a couple guys who were already out. I kind of missed the ref yelling 'game' for one. The other was leaning out of the dead box, but all I really saw of him was his mask peering over the top of an aztec. Honestly, if you'd seen that what would you have done?

Because in this one tourny we were facing a team that was going to kill us. So we all decided to rush off the break, but I was the only one who went through with it. So I ran down and got a lucky shot on somebody before being lit up and falling to the ground. :/ It really pissed off the other team because I actually got a guy out, and ruined their chance to max out on points.

Normally just my first name though.

Or just "that guy in the Joy jersey."

I've been called Milky Spore, Caddyshack, and Hot Karl.

I don't know where the last one came from though. The guys who play for the local AXBL/MXL team tend to call me Caddyshack because their captain said I looked like some guy in the movie Caddyshack, and they agreed. My field owner calls me Hot Karl sometimes, kinda weird, lulz.

But to keep it legit, on the field, nicknames are usually based on what you are carrying. I'm the guy with the old 'cocker or pump, and I am usually called as such.

'Lenny' came from playing Half Life Deathmatch at work. Everyone wanted the mean, intimidating name, 'the killer', 'the annihilator', and so on. I picked Lenny because I heard an interview with the guy who played Lenny from Laverne & Shirley on NPR. One of the guys I play with kept complaining though, as he put it - "when you get killed by 'the annihilator', you don't feel so bad. He's The Annihilator. But when you get killed by someone named 'Lenny', you just have to feel bad about it".
