if u play front, then maybe a 10 or 12". i really dont prefer the 10 tho becuz it makes the gun look funny witha short barrel.
if u play back, the a 14 or 16", i dont like 16's cuz theyre excessively long, but they provide a LITTLE bit more accuracy.
I like 14" all around because it looks normal on your gun and it balances accuracy and distance.

Barrels don't have to do with distance. It's a proven fact, unless you're talking about the Flatline. Length has nothing to do with accuracy unless you're talking about a barrel that's under 10" long. If you're playing mostly airball, get a 14" or 16", the extra length is good for pushing bunkers.
Air-ball?
16 inch (To help push aside the bunkers.)
Hyper-ball?
12/14 inch (To poke through the ridges in the hyper-ball tubes.)
Woods?
16 inch (To help poke through brush and whatnot...)
Indoor/urban?
8/10 inch (In this case, since everything is so tight, shorter is better. And since everything is a "hard" bunker [with no brush, ridges, or inflatable stuff], there's no need to have a longer barrel to poke through/aside stuff.)
These are all what I would use. I'm not saying that there arent other viable options...

There is a great thread that explains all this in greater detail in the stickies at the top of the page.
I find the 14" to be a great all around length.
