Last week, i placed an order online with First Call Paintball. This was the second order i placed with them, the first being a pair of dye core gloves. I was quite happy with my first order, so why not order from them again?

Well, today i received the package i had eagerly been awaiting all day. And what do i find but no packaging material in the box, and the chrome DZII i had ordered all messed up and strayed from its box.

attached is a picture of the drop zone, and in the next post will be a picture of the empty box with no packaging material in it.

anyone who knows me, knows that i am a pretty honest person and i wouldnt lie about something like this.

So i sent them this email:

To: info@firstcallpaintball.com
Subject: just received my order, but i have a complaint.

hi, i recently placed an order with you for a couple items. one of them being a chrome kapp cradle. when i received this package a few minutes ago i noticed a large box with a many items rattling inside, and what i do a find, the items that i ordered with NO packaging material whatsoever. my brother watched me open the package if you need a witness.

i had previously placed an order with your company for a pair of dye core gloves which i received in a similar box, although it was full of packaging material, even though it was only a pair of gloves. i was very happy with this order, so i was quite willing to order from your company again.

what infuriated me further is the fact that the cradle that i ordered is ripped out of its packaging, and in horrible condition. it looks like there is some sort of glue on the side of it. i need this cradle for the next two weekends, as i will be playing and i have no other cradle to use.

attached are four pictures i took of the cradle and the box itself. fortuneatly the other items in the package are in good working condition, so i will not need those items replaced.

if you would be so kind as to give me a call, my number is (edited) or simply reply to this email with some sort of way you plan on rectifiying this situation, i would thouroughly appreciate it.

i will be home to answer the phone, anytime tommorow after 3pm PST, just ask for Alex.

again, i am sorry that this ever happened, as i previously had an excellent experience. so i am somewhat confused. please contact me.

-Alex Jones

I really hope they contact me, or else i will be forced to have a grudge against them, which i really dont want to do.

There was probably some idiot that was too lazy to get up and throw in some packaging peanuts... Good work pr0k, stick it to them.

by the way, the kapp paper backing was ripped apart like that when i got it. it was strewn upon the bottom of the box.

there was also one extra nut on the bottom of the box, i am not sure how many should come with the cradle, but all the ones on the cradle are there, but there arent any screws for me to screw it onto the gun.

now i found out that little piece that was rolling around in the bottom was part of the screw that tightens the neck to the drop zone rod. that screw is broken in half. so its unusable, but i got the glue stuff off.

how the hell did that screw break in half?

god, i am so pissed right now.

I ordered a chrome thermal lense from first call for my JT Alpha 2000 and it took two days longer than expected to get it, the box it came in was smashed up and beat to hell, there was very little packing in the box to protect the lense. Almost the same situation as you, only my lense was fine. Goodluck with the cradle.

They glue is supposed to be there, typically, the the part of the cradle that attaches to the rail is glued to the peice of paper. But the rest is simply unreasonable.

i called them this morning and they are going to next-day air me another one.

unfortuneatly i have to pay half of the shipping costs because i need it this weekend. they also want me to ship the old one back, i will be sure to make them pay shipping for that.

anyways the conflict has been solved.
