I find it hilarious that people go out and pay $100+ for a barrel. My cousin bought a Boomstick and used Marballizers.. I used my Piranha stock barrel and used RPS Big Ball and we had a target shooting contest. I won. Know why? Because my paint-barrel match was closer. It doesn't matter what barrel you have, the closer paint-barrel match will win!

That is partly true, but it also depends on how the honing of the barrel is on the inside. Either that or you can aim way better then your friend...piranha stock barrels are pretty good and better then other stock barrels. How far away were yall shooting at the target?

50-75 feet
how far away did YALL think we were?

Honestly I'd have to say 20-25 feet :)
The piranha stock barrels are pretty good just for a stock barrel, when i got my CP barrel I noticed a big difference in accuracy.

well, i think paint-barrel match can only take it so far.

but this may be also that it is hard to find a paint that matchs stock barrels all that well.

i am going to shoot a lot with my stock barrel, then my ceramic, just to see the results (but first i need a large *** case of paint!)

i am almost sure the ceramic will be more accuarate, even with worse paint-barrel match, but who know!

also, what is your setup compared to your cousins, the player and gun contribut to the accuracy too you know!

i didnt have all the stuff in my signature. at that time, i had just the expansion chamber. he had a stock tippmann with a 14 inch boomstick. we were both using co2.

I just tried locking my gun in place with a vise, and i shot a target at 50 yrds with both my Cp and my Spyder stock barrel. I believe they are the same bore, and the cp won by a lot.

i spend $50 on my teardrop and it's just as accurate as the boomstick and is light. I dont need a $110 barrel when I could have a $50 barrel perform just about the same

truthfully I HATE BOOMSSTICKS!!!!!!!! people always say look hes guna hit us first shot!!
ive tried out tooooo many of em and they all perfromed very very poorly.
my sp teardrop on my tippy shoots better than a boomstick with good paint anyday of the week!!

*end of ranking on the boomer*

i dont like very many barrels that dont give shot on shot at about 50 feet. no matter then gun if i use the right paint.

but i agree paintbarrel match doesnt take the ball all the way out.
its porting, the honing, finish, somtimes length, and maybe the paint that causes bad accuracy for the user
