Ok

my current config on the C98

X-Chamber
R- Trigger
Running remote

I was planning to use Nitro (68ci 3000psi Pre-set @ 800psi)

888paint said: "since the Nitro tank is pre set i would not need a regulator." (is this true?)

Tippmann said: "I should get a low pressure kit to keep gas efficent so it will alst longer. but it is not nessasary."

My question is...is anyone running the type of setup i have and using nitro? do you notice any performance differnece from C02?

I want to use nitro only for the Winter and do not want to keep switching from regulator to expansion every time the season changes.

I know my setup is good for CO2 (Chamber and remote line)
will this apply to Nitro

thanks to everyone who replies

Errr... Why would you not want to use nitro all the time? You don't need anything with the nitro, the C98 can accept it as is. Your remote probably can also. You don't need a regulator, and I wouldn't use an expansion kit. Just drop the expansion kit and CO2 for nitro all together. The low pressure system will make your C98 low pressure, meaning you'll get better efficiency and break less balls. You can probably use nitro with an expansion chamber if you insist on CO2, but I'd get a second opinion since mine is pulled out from nowhere.

i agree with creeper. just get nitro. u don't really need to get the low pressure kit but it helps.

so it doesn't matter that i have the x-chamber if i decide to run just nitro, right?

I was just thinking that since i have CO2 and nitro

i can use CO2 in the summer since its hotter

and nitro in teh winter

thanks to the both of you

deadvenom, i don't think u get it. why don't u just use nitro all year round? it's better. waaaaayyy better than co2. and plus i think i makes the gun a tad bit more silent. so anyway, JUST USE NITRO THE WHOLE TIME!!!

Just make sure not to use co2 and HPA both in the same day. Cold then hot on the o-rings makes them go "bye-bye."

A preset nitro tank will work fine unless you get the lp kit. If you do get the lp kit, you'll need an inline reg or a low pressure preset.
