I'm wondering what kind of tape is safe to wrap around my J&J creamic barrel? I dont wanna to end up with paint peeling or chipping or geting the barrel sticky from the tape left over.
I'm thinking electrical tape?
If your gonna ask me why... Well I wanted to test something out.

Any tape will work fine but painters tape will leave the least residue. Painters tape is rather expensive though so electrical will work fine.

if you leave electical tape on for too long it will leave bad residue though. but yeeah, its probably your best bet

I just had a better idea... Looks *** but heh it works just as good. I wrapped static cling around the barrel and used electrical tape and wrap over the cling wrap. to hold it on tight.

the cling wrap and tape combo sounds good. what are you going to test out? fps diffrences with porting and no porting?

Yeah pretty much. Even if you guys say it wont make a diffrence. I would like to see for myself.

It may be harder to notice it with tape than a truly unported barrel though. The difference between ports and no ports, or just ports at the way end like Lapco, is about 30 fps I believe.
