on m98center.com i read the putting masking tape on the top of your barrel will make it act like a flatline barrel (friction on the top of the barrel creates backspin ) but some of my friends tried this and it didnt work how come and how can you make it work?

lol, even if it does work it will be very little. have u seen the flatline barrel? it's curved. thats how u get the back spin on the paintballs. puting tape in the barrel won't really do anything.

I tried that masking tape thing. It only gives a slight effect. I was using crap paint when I tried it though. If the masking tape is to much to one side of the barrel the balls will curve sharply. The effect only lasts for a little while, I think the grease from the balls slickened the masking tape so it cut down on the friction that give the balls the backspin.

I KNEW IT WORKED ALITTLE BIT BUT THE MASKING TAPE WE USED WASNT VERY GOOD I'LL PROBELY TRY DIFFRENT KINDS OF TAPE IM PROBABLY GOING TO GET A FLAT LINE FOR IT I'VE SEEN THE FLATLINE WITH OUT THE HAND SHROUD (LOOKS LIKE AREGULAR BARREL EXEPT IT'S CURVED UPWARDS) BUT IT LOOKS BETTER WITH IT :)
