do the different front caps on impulses do anything different? or is one better than another? or is it all looks?

I think they're all for looks. Not sure though, so don't quote me. :|

The longer front caps will aid in better LP operation. If you want to go to the extreme low pressure that people are getting (120) then you will need a front cap that can hold more air. I think for the most part a lot of them are for looks.

i have a flat front cap and can run at 100...the size of the cap won't increase your flow rate at all. it will only make more room for co2 to expand slightly decreasing pressure, but you can just turn down your reg to change pressures. a large area behind the valve cap won't increase flow rate.

larger air volumes allow more reserve of air to be available to the valve while its open.. Theoreticaly, you shouldnt even need a "volume chamber", but in reality the regulator cant dump or sustain a high enough air flow to directly feed through a vavle. so, an air chamber allows the reg to re-charge that volume in its own sweet time (relativly speaking), as opposed to the amount of time the valve is open- dumping the air that it has direct access to..

a large air chamber won't do anything because you still have the same size hole feeding that chamber. to completely prove your theory wrong, take off you maxflow or hosing from the maxflow and screw in your tank. it can sustain the flow. unless you increase the flow rate going to this space it won't have any effect.

so getting out of all the fancy mumbo jumbo...
i might be gettin myself a new front cap mainly for looks, any suggestions? i like those bullets but it doesnt suit the square-ish shape of the impulse.
k well make some suggestions upon what you have for a front cap.. or should i save money and get something more worth while.. make more suggestions on that

in no mumbo jumbo eze-- the different front caps are basicly just for looks.

If you like the looks of one type, they you have to decide if its worth you hard earned duelars.
