Alright here goes

You are playing on an exactly 200 foot long paintball field. You are on the very first foot while TLPLUS84 is on the last, making 198 feet difference between you and TLPLUS84. you are under heavy fire (dont ask from where) and must angle a shot upward to fall down upon TL. you are shooting at exactly 300 fps. There is no Humidity wind or dewpoint (no wind problems). He is located DIRECTLY in front of you 198 feet away. At exactly what angle must your barrel point to land a rain of paintballs right on his head.

Remember basically after the 100 foot mark the field is an EXACT Mirror of your side exept in your place its TL+. This ought to work, sorry bout that Tl+

Disclaimer: No Tl+'s were harmed in the making of this math problem

uhmm...it should be 45 degrees..theoretically. YOu want the ball to makee it's maximum height(forgot the correct word for it) at around midfield so that it will go down in the same angle.

Hi my name is Bryan. I play paintball.

u need to have a decleration formula for the paintball. How are u going to know what angel to poiunt it at if u dont know how the paintball will slow down. According to what u wrote, u wouldnt have ne angel, becsue the ball wouldnt slow down, and would just travel straight. It matters on how the paintball slows down, and how far it will go, which are two things i dont kow how to figure it. But then again, im not to owrried bout the angle, i just liek to shoot the paintballs.

lol, yeah, i just started doing this stuff in algebra with the parablas (sophomre in algebra 2 ha), u need to either know how the ball will slow down, or something that can give the verts of the rising and falling of the apintball. The prbome is is that there is no way to calculate how the paintball will slow down and loose the velocity to start falling down, and then figure out the speed oit falls and tha angles it would fall at to hit the person with the info u gave us. Do u know the answer? becasue i cold be wrong, i might be thinking too much, oww my head hurts, lol

I don't need any angle if I use a Flatline Barrel. :)

SO I GUESS NONE of you have had any Physics classes? Oh yeah.. u guys in grade 9.

IF you want the exact angles I could ramble out the formulas but there are so many variables if you want EXACT numbers. Ie=>> atmospheric pressure, friction of paintball in relation to air to air, wieght of paintball, a multitude of temperatures, etc etc....

Just freaking go by trial and error. Thats why pro players always stress the technique factor over the tactics factor.
If you get good enough, you'll be able to judge how far the ball will travel just by instinct.

I would say about a 55 degree angle, but I am wrong I bet, I pictured it in my head for about 10 seconds.
