Hey every1, i live in bklyn, ny. and for all thoses who dont know, its a city. and for you to go out and play paintball you have to go up state, or out of state, and to buy equipment, you have to order online. i also know that paintball is a very large, growing sport, and ALOT of kids are intreseted in playin around here. so my dad is soon retireing and we want to open up a business, and 1 of our thoughts was a paintball store. i was hoping by posting this thread here, that people can now give me ideas, comments, and things that i deffinetly need to do to run a store. please post your thoughts...

You have to have alot of time and money, most pro shops spend around 20,000$ in gear, guns, paint, ext when first opening a pro shop. Also having a good place where alot of traffic goes through.. But where you live i dont think you would have a problem with that.. Also with a pro shop if you chould find a place near your shop and set up a speedball feild you would be raking in the money

Somebody told me that paintball markers aren't allowed in Brooklyn, which is why you find yourself having to go upstate. It is a shame, because you would make a good amount of money. If you were to open a pro shop, you would need to take out a loan, and to get a loan, you need a business plan. You can pick up a copy of a business planning guide that will tell you everything you need to know. You need to do market research, and it sounds as if you will have zoning problems. Before you try to open a proshop, take some business courses, you need to know how to manage and do accounting, etc etc.
