Is loctite that stuff you wrap around stuff that screws in to keep it from coming loose, or is it a type of glue?

It is a type of glue, the name of the tape you are talking about eludes me, but it and loctite are two different things.

You're talking about Teflon Tape. It has about the same effect as loctite, however teflon tape isn't recommended near the air system in many markers as it's been known to fray and blow noids.

Loctite is a glue that seals the threads. Teflon is just a strip of ptfe that seals the threads. You get the same effect, just dont use teflon on a true electronic(bko, timmy ect.) as it will enter the solenoid and stop it from functioning.

To properly apply teflon: you must fold it in half lengthwise(hot dog fold) and wrap it 2-3 times around the threads where it will be mostly into the hole, dont put it around the end and try not to have too much showing(looks ugly)

To properly apply loctite: just put a dab on the end and thread it in, if it spreads around the threads and you have to put it in more then put a small dab as close as possible to the hole and keep threading, wipe away the excess. Loctite does not need air to cure; in fact, it needs a completel anaerobic environment with metal ions(just the place a threaded gauge has to offer)
