i have said this before ash. You need to go try out the guns your self and see which one fits you. i mean i was ready to go buy a joker and then i tried out the compact 2000. what a marvelous feel compared to the joker. it sould be up to you. But if you tried them both and have a feel i would recomended a bob long autococker. Those things are beautys. The colors, duke, the colors! but thats my thoughts i'm just a newbie picking things up.

Yeah try all the guns that you are thinking about getting.

It doen't matter what other people like. I might love my cocker and say a cocker is better than (insert gun here). Does that mean it is better for you? No.
Eltwitcho might say that his Intimitator is his favorite. Does that make it better than my cocker? or my cocker bettewr than his intimmy? NO.

It is all syle and preference.

Yeah counter put it best, although he was wrong about that part involving my intimmy not being better... No seriously though, try em first, or at least hold them to see the balance. If you want to shoot super fast, I'd recomend an electro (Cockers can go fast, it's just hard to do), though some people absolutely love the feel of a cockers trigger. Since you want opinions, I'd say go with the timmy. But that's what I would (did) do, and not necessarily what you'll like best. Look at the features first. Things I like about my intimmy are that it's fast, never chops, low pressure, and it looks different enough that people are always askin about it. If that's what you're looking for, give the timmy some thought, but all those guns have selling points. I know this isnt too helpful, so all I can say is go to a shop and see if you can try them, or at the very least hold them in your hands to see how they feel, and look up close

You want have a problem with a timmy if you maintain it properly. Pretty much the things that can go wrong are the same as any other gun, o-rings will wear down, and your 3 way hose (same as autococker 3 way hose) may break, but that's rare. All of this is easy to fix. Use teflon tape improperly, and it will get into the regs, which aint too bad to clean out, but has to be done or the regs wont work properly. Or the tape may get into the solenoid, which is very hard to clean out, but still doable. Also, if you get the chop eyes dirty, you will need to clean them, pretty easy stuff. If you use rollerblade oil in your gun (as someone did on PBC), you will fry your solenoid, dont do that :) Cocker will pretty much have all the same problems, except for those involving solenoids or chop eyes, and occasionally will need to be retimed, which also, is not very hard to do, and you should be able to do it yourself.
