Okay, I did a test between the stock STS G3 barrel and the 12' equation barrel. MY GUN is all stock except the barrel in this case so no regulators or anything that can fix consistency or accuracy. SO there are no other factors except the inconsistency of the Co2 because it can't expand. I set up a target with bulls eye and all in my backyard (I know that this may not be good for pb rep if something happens but I do it when no one is out.) I put 6 Severe white fill paintballs into my hopper with my stock barrel and moved 50 feet away (used a tape measure). I didn't clamp down the gun so I didn't go any farther back. I fired about 3 balls a second so I did all 6 balls in about 2-3 seconds. SO the stock barrel performed with 14 inches across and 10 down. (REMEMBER Part of the reason for the inconsistency was the Co2) Then I changed barrels to the 12' equation went to the same location and shot 6 orange fill Severe paintballs. The results were 3 across and 14 down (I shot at about same rate but remember Co2 inconsistency plays a factor) I tried moving back to 75 feet and I shot 6 orange severe with equation it didn't do well because I didn't clamp it down and I couldn't hold it in the exact same spot so I won't say the results. Then my neighbors came out to play baseball so I hid and I couldn't finish my test. LOL
So overall the equation barrel is way better than stock compare 3 inch across to 14 across with an all stock gun with Co2 at 70-75 degree weather. I will try again with a clap to mount the marker and with compressed air after Christmas because I don't get it until the 18th and can't use it until I get it on the 29 for Christmas. (I will be away so that is why it will take some long). I didn't try with the 6 and 1/4 inch barrel but I bet it is the same. BUT I CAN'T STRESS ENOUGH THAT I USED Co2. Happy playing.
