akalmp vert bodies

ive only seen one so i was just wondering if any one has heard about these. i stripped the mounting holes for the grip frame on my shutter, so iwas thinkin to buy a new body instead of getting it drilled and tapped. If i drilled it i would have to drill out my grip frame which im not keen on so, i would just like some help in my decsion. I think it would be fun to see what an airsmith could carve out of the plane body aka makes. Thx :)

:P i wish AKA still made them...they stopped making them for some damn stupid reason..i wanted one too...Well there's always the millenium body, but they stopped making them for the Compact too..which is basically all the newer spyders...you might luck out in getting one somewhere..but if not, just get a new body, and a new striker too.

AKA is "supposedly" working on new 2001 models. When they'll be out is anyone's guess. I guess you can try emailing them.

If you do opt for one of these bodies, you'll have to change your striker, striker buffer, and velocity adjuster. The strikers they use are larger in diameter.

i think i heard that theyre making a new batch right now, but G3PB is out of stock. I know i have to get a new striker and stuff so i think im going to call BBT for that b/c they sell knigman factory parts. Thx.

I just spoke with AKA and here's what he said;
They are going to make full length bodies again. They will be available the first part of the 3rd quarter of this year. They will be similar to the previous models with some different shaping and a threaded feed tube. There are some other mods that will be done to it but they aren't finalized yet.

beginnning of third quater is like july augest i think. its about half way through the year. thanks for the info i cant wait untill they make them.

i just got a reply from akalmp that the next run will be done in 8 weeks. im not sure how accurate that is, but it is "straight from the horses mouth."
