Safe to buy a gun from an auction of EBay

Is it safe to buy a gun off of an auction at like paintball.com or off of ebay it is a whole lot cheaper but my dad doesnt think its safe. either fraud or a screwed up gun. Anyone have any input?

well some guns are used. then again companies also use Ebay to sell some of their brand new stuff. my brother got his gun off Ebay for a good price. And it turned out to be a good buy.

I have been buying things off ebay for the last couple of years and I have never had a problem. Just look at the sellors feedback profile and make sure they are recommended by others. I just purchased my first paintball marker off of ebay last month and I saved about $25 on a Rebel LE that was in perfect condition. I recommend ebay if you want to play it safe, because in the rare case that someone does try to rip you off ebay will refund all of your money less $25.
