Why do different barrels have different threading? It seems so stupid and inneficient. Why cant barrel manafacturers get together and pick 1 type of thread?

Its not the barrel designers. It's the gun companies themselves. They make all different types of guns with different threads, and so the barrel companies have to make various barrel threads to match up with the different guns.

But why do the guns need different threading. Why dont the gun companies get together and make them all the same. No one threading is better than another.

No one can agree on which are the best. Mag barrels obviously are different than any other gun. Cocker threads have more and tighter turns so it should be more stable. Impy threads have very few long turns so it's quicker to get on and off. Which one is the best? Is there a best? Besides, if they did make them all the same, then everyone would only buy one nice barrel and keep it for all of their guns, and the barrel companies would lose business. :P
