i say the rat they are faster and easier to maintain than autocockers, but what do you expect, it's the impulse forum.

the cocker is actually a bit easier to maintane and clean than any impulse. it all depends what you're looking for in a gun though. search the cocker forum with that question and search this forum. btw, wouldn't you think we would all say that the impulses is better here concerning this is the impulse forum-even though the guys here have been doing a great job being honest and helpful?

Since your in an imp forum the imp will most likely be recommended more. The best thing to do is to conduct your own independant research on both guns, TRY both guns and see what YOU like better.

EDIT-crap TPD already said that in a way. Just worded different.

Ok,
what was already mentioned about this being an Imp forum and all, heed that...

As an ex-cocker owner though (TPD you the man, but this is IMHO) an auto-cocker is more difficult to maintain than an IMP...
The more maintenance with an auto-cocker comes with timing it. Now, even though it is not a difficult thing to do, the learning curve on it is really something else (especially if you're not the mechanically inclined type).
I found myself having to re-time (or otherwise adjust timing), about every other week (playing twice a week)...
Chrono-ing a 'cocker is also a pain.

Don't get me wrong, my auto-cocker was great, but the "darkside" to owning one (regular maintenance(?)) drew me away and I eventually switched to an Impulse (was looking for something with a more sweet snappy trigger pull anyways).
