Hey guys,, I will be making my cocker purchase prob next weekend. I want to get a barrel for it at the same time. I see all the tournys and the guys are using Boomsticks. I hear some say the J&J 2 piece is best for this gun. I personally am thinking about a All American for it , but I never see or hear on anyone having this combo. Is this a bad choice? What do you guys have???
I have a dye boomstick for when I have to use field paint. I have not had any ball break problems with it using the old PMI premium, and Big Ball that some of the local fields make us use. I also have an Armson Stealth. I use that when I can get marbs or all stars. Its a really picky barrel, but it is quiet as hell. I also have a J&J that I used to use for crap field paint because it cleans itself really well when bad paint breaks.
I have the dye partly for functionality and partly for aesthetics. I just like the way it looks on my gun. It is the barrel I keep on the gun all the time. I have never tried the J&J two piece, but from what I've seen and heard they are damn good barrels.

i have a big daddy barrel and a j&j ceramic being shipped right now. I used the big daddy once, and i was shooting totally warped team colors. i broke like 3 balls the whole day and the balls were curving like a mo fo. but when i shot crappy proball they were going where i wanted. so i have yet to shoot good paint through it.

Well - Since my Cocker is new I dont have a lot of barrels for it. Stock and a Boomstick. The Barrels I plan on getting for it are an Autospirit which is a smaller bore than a Boomer...
And a Freak barrel system for all other paint sizes.
