is the cp 1 piece good with cheap paint as long as it matches the bore size of the barrel (practice grade)(some zap brands)

The paint doesn't have to match the barrel bore exactly, but I'm pretty sure that will help with consistency. Just buy fresh paint that hasen't been lying around on the shelves for a few months, and it should work fine.

The Teardrop is a nice barrel, but I've heard great things about the CP 1 Piece as well. Both barrels will probably perform around the same.
