Take the top reg, remove the spring from it, now it will act as a volumizer chamber, with the piston resting in the back. Then because the piston no longer has a spring, it will no longer push forward to open the pin valve. Therefore, you take a 3/8 inch socket wrench, and remove the pin valve retainer. Take out the pin, the 2 attached o-rings, and the spring. Now reattach the formerly HP reg, which is now a volumizer. To get your gun firing less than the speed of sound however, you will need a regulator, or adjustable tank that will go as low as 250 psi. It is okay to do, reduces the recoil by a whole lot, makes the gun slsightly quieter, and though I've never had any more than 1 barrel break in a day (maybe 4 barrel breaks ever), I figure it's easier on paint. Biggest advantage is the reduced recoil, and the gun is much easier to set up, as you only have to set 2 regs. Velocity adjustment is done by your inline reg, or tank.
