This weekend I tried out my JCS RVA. At the end of the day, the Spring Pin and the Red MM spring were bent and need to be replaced.
Anyone know how to keep the spring Pin centered with the RVA?
Seems like I might be overlooking something simple here, sounds like plenty of people have used RVAs on their A-5s, and I've rarely heard of anyone that has had a similar problem.

I figured out my problems, well at least this problem. As I had thought, I made a couple stupid mistakes.
1) I screwed the Palmer too tight into the tombstone. This restricted the air flow and was the original cause for the low velocity.
2) While trying to figure out problem 1, I listened to some bad advice from the field owner and screwed the RVA all the way in. This is what caused the Pin and spring to be pushed off to the side and get bent by the bolt.
If you had similar problems make sure the Palmer is 1/4 to a 1/2 turn from flush in the tombstone. And, if you use a RVA, make sure that the set screw hasn't been pushed in so far that the pin and spring no longer have a 'hole' to rest in.
Hope this helps someone else, and sorry about the double post.
