my cocker weighs 2.5 pounds with barrel if u can beleive it...its hella-light (at least for a cocker LOL)...but before i throw money at it i want to make sure that money is doing the most...
EDIT: sry but i've got to show off my new cocker body...

Your Cocker is too cool to sell, you'll probably end up regretting it later. With all the time and money you've put into it, you have to love it, so I say keep it. A Trix just wouldn't be all that much better to justify selling your beloved Cocker IMO.

I'd stay with the Cocker...

I agree, if it has "all the ups" then it probably has tadao and an evolve which makes it an absolute beast. It also has a much better resale then your cocker will, even with the half block and E2. I would get the trix

how so?...evolve is needed to get normal gun effeiciency...and tadao is cool and all, but how is it any more adjustable or fast than an E2?...
STO-i really hope thats not ur long lost cocker speaking...time is time and money is money but thats all in the past...i'm looking at the future now...
i'm not taking sides, just posing questions...

I'd keep the cocker, it'll be a beast after you put an e2 and mq valve on it.

The matrix is a very, very nice marker. If you don't get that, search for a viking. IMO nothing is nicer than a viking.

I don't know, maybe it is. It's hard when a marker you love gets stolen.
Anyway, the Trix will be better performance-wise IMO, but sometimes playing with a marker you are very used to is nice.

I say Matrix, heres why:
Evolve v2 is coming out soon, it will be crazy efficient.
Tadao v5 rips like no other.
Matrices are no longer being made. The Proto is its replacement. Resale value will get much higher most likely. In a few months they will be like Vikings, you will be able to trade them for most markers.

Ehh......Trixes are ok. Spray and pray isn't my favorite. I have shot one and I didn't like them. I'd stay with a cocker. When they are kept right they are great.

Keep the cocker.
It will be a sick beast once you E2 it. Definitely keep the cocker.
Did I say to keep the cocker?

I used to like them a lot, until I realized that the triggers are very hard to adjust to my liking, and that they are usually heavier than most high end markers. Back blocks also annoy me, especially when trying to play tight.

did ur back block look like this: (LOL)

so how do u like the timmy STO?...compared to the cocker (i forgot what ur setup was...)
i'm begining to think i should just dump the money and build a custom timmy with a AIM body...

trix... not a fan of cockers. seem really sluggish imo. even with an e2

Wow peyton that post about trixes price going up was total crap. This thread smells like me after taking 4 pills of exlax. You could get the trix, and then realize they are heavy, and you will need to get the new tadao board and the new evolve bolt, and realize that their resale is sucking also. I would just get the e2 and mq valve, because most noobs love autocockers, and i bet you could sell it for around 600$ or so on ebay then (of course, after investing some odd 1200$ or so...). I dont hate trixes, but I would only trade for a dm4, or a M5 (proto matrix).

hmm...yes but imo the money is much better spent on the trix. sure their retail sucks..but you get that trix tricked out alright, plenty of trades around. but cockers on the other hand, well...lest just say i have never seen a stock 2k2 trix go for as low as ive seen a ebladed n tricked cocker go for.

I had a Blue 2000 STO Cocker with nothing stock but the body. It was nice, but it was a little heavy and I didn't like the fact that I had to make sure the back block wasn't hitting me in the face. But then it was stolen and I got an Angel LCD, then sold that and got my Timmy. I love my Timmy, like I said before it feels very natural to play with. If you want to build a custom Timmy, head over to the Bob Long Forum and take a look at the stickies, there's a guide in there to building a custom Timmy. PM me if you have trouble finding it, the stickies are pretty big.

with a cocking mass of 8 grams its really easy to set the gun up to pinch...which is why i have NEVER chopped a ball with the cocker...its one thing i really love about it...
what about a red-black 02 timmy with CP trigger and WAS 2.7 for $600? is that a good deal? i have no clue...

alright...i just got back from the local store (if a 45 minute drive each way is "local" )...i shot an alias and 02 (i haven't shot a timmy in a long time)...i really wasn't too impressed, even with the alias...the feel is kinda wierd but they are just so damn long...speed wasn't too impressive either...
BUT, i also shot a DM4...and i was impressed...very impressed...they are da shiz...i guess i'll just pull some more money out of my *** and get one...
thanks all...i've finaly decided...
Since you've decided on a DM4... Care to elaborate on the MQ-Valve? Is it better than the Eclipse Supercharger valve that comes with the Nexus kit?

o...no problem...for like 100 pages of spam on it (seriously) go over to pbnation and check it out in the electrococker forum...
to sumarize the spam tho: the MQ-valve is a cartridge style insert that replaces all the parts in the bottom tube (valve, valve pin, jam nut, hammer, and IVG screw) of any e-cocker (E1, E2, or Race)...it is of some type of spool valve design so that there is a significant reduction in cocking mass and thus, recoil...to install it just:
1.pull out all of your bottom tube stuff
2. unplug your sear solenoid and remove it
3. screw the MQ-valve into your bottom tube
4. connect your sear solenoid wire to the MQ-valve
this also gives you complete control over the cycling of your autococker by letting you simply adjust your dwell time (which is the SON)...velocity adjustment is acceived by a combination of dwell and input pressure (just like any open-bolt electro)...
