If you only have about $200 go with the Spyder. I won't have as much upgrades as the Autococker would, but nice enough for $200. You just playing Rec Ball should work fine.

If you want to shoot osmewhat fast I would go with the spyder, a mech cocker is good, but no where near as fast as a electric spyder.

think about it. you can either go from a blowback to another blowback, or from a blowback to a slower-but-better-in-the-long-run cocker. look into wgp's trilogy cockers, or scan ebay for some good deals.

and im not really looking to play rec ball i kinda wanna get onto the feilds
yea mayb a spyder but if i got a cocker in time id like to eblade or worrblade it

but keep talking plz

I don't see any significant point to going from a 98c to a spyder. Save up for an autococker.

If your going cocker I would look into a VF instead of a Trilogy, but thats just me.

Well, for a second gun, the cocker would be a wise desision. Try them both out, and see which one you like better.

Thanks..
yea ive looked at the Trilogy and i dont like it a whole lot..

dont get a spyder. going from a tippy to spyder is just plain stupid IMO. Get the cocker. It will be a much better gun the long run.
It will save you from maybe even buying a cocker later on as an upgrade from a spyder.
Keep uou tippy until you save up enoiugh money to get urself a VF cocker. and then buy it and start upgrading it.

To echo, eliminate the Spyder from contention for a second marker. The only aspect you'll upgrade in is speed.

Besides cockers, don't be afraid to look at used automags, you can find some killer deals on them. I'd say check PBN for the most deals on cockers and automags.org/forums for mag deals.

2k3 Vf Cocker. then worrblade it

banderson

If you dont want the Trilogy because you can't Worrblade it....YOU CAN!!!! I would totally recomed a trilogy to you they seem really nice built and it's just likr anyother cocker.

Much like an autococker, it's a higher end mechanical marker that's highly upgradeable. It doesn't have nearly as many parts as the cocker so it's a bit easier to deal with, but since it has more parts, the cocker is also more customizable. If you're looking to go electro down the road, a cocker would be a smarter choice, because the Eblade it has available for sale is superior IMO to the mags electronic Hyperframe. However, the mag has a very original mechanical upgrade called the ULT that can make your fully mechanical trigger walkable with fine tuning. The mag also has a fully mechanical trigger coming out hopefully within the next year that will be as light as any electronic one. Just like a cocker, the mag upgrading options are endless. An anti-chop bolt that *gasp* actually helps a ton, ULE (Ultra Light Engineering) replacement parts that are better looking and lighter than the parts it replaces, etc etc. Now get your butt over to the Airgun Designs forum and read the stickies/ask more questions there.

No! :) You're a big boy, if you just want to know what parts the Prostock has that the VF doesn't, go to WGP's website or read the descriptions of the two on their marker pages here at PBR.

might as well answer here and now. there is no difference. those are two different names for the exact same marker.

Don't get a spyder if you already have a Tippman, they aren't what I would consider a step up. (that is worth the cash)
Go for a used Autococker, BKO, or a Mag.

Get a Cocker, Used Mag, or BKO

EDIT: Noitice we are all saying "cocker"

An autococker is made only by WGP. Any other kind of gun that works like an autococker but isn't made by WGP is just a focker. But to answer your question, WGP Cockers all the way.

heres an idea: get a Spyder victor, (or used 1 for less) and get "Zip Kit" or "The One kit" to make it electro like the Boblong Intimitadtors. Shoots 20bps:D

motofox77
12-07-2004, 02:58 PM
yea i kinda changed the guns and i am not even looking at spyders anymore....its now like the guns r cocker, bushy or imp...

Get an automag. I'm getting all the parts to one for 110.85. Everything except the revvy. Because I don't need a revvy. Oh, and I'm not getting the foregrip yet either.

dyekid_11

Get an autococker like mine if you are serious and is actually wanting to step it up and play in tourneys.

I'm currently saving for a ULT AutoMag RT Pro. It's $350 from Airgun Designs and comes with all the upgrades you'll end up buying if you get a used Mag (for less than it would cost to just buy the upgrades). However, that's just because I don't like the idea of having to tinker with a 'cocker. I also don't like the way they look. If these are not important to you go for the cocker they do shoot very nicely when they're timed well.

Here's an analogy for you:

I drive a Chevrolet Cavalier and I want to get a sports car, should I get a Pontiac Sunfire or a Mazda RX-8?

... is the equivalent of asking if you should go from a tippy to a spyder or a 'cocker lol.

Please dont just look in to wgp guns. in my expericane wgp makes overpriced and under delivering products. i am a proud former owner of a ANS GX-4 with RACE and can tell you it beat the **** out any wgp cocker. electro or not. So please look around Look to planet eclipse and nexus, Disruptive paintball, system x(maybe), turtle cockers and ANS guns to find the absoulte best gun for you

New BKO around $300, Used BKO around $200, Used non vision impulse around $250. No marker is more accurate than another, accuracy is based on the barrel. Any one of those three can be found on ebay an on the Buy/sale/ trade forums here and on pbnation for around the prices I listed. For mech markers there are new 03 v/f cockers on ebay for under $250 shipped or there are always good deals on used automags with intelliframes for under $200. Any one of those should satisfy your needs. Go try some different markers at your local field, only you can decide what gun is best for you.

Heh, a spyder will NEVER shoot like a timmy. EVER! nd you wont hit 20 bps without shooting your frontman in the back of the head because of shootdown

Blazers are sweet, but I would only get one for rec play. If you are a serious tourny player, you will want the speed of an electro.

A used Angel LED or something with a double trigger frame, and mini-morlock.
Or a 'cocker (like a CCM series 5 Semi auto) that you eventually put an E-Kit on. (Race 'Blade, whatever you want, pretty much)
Or a BKO ... pretty much anything that isn't a "low end", really.

motofox77
12-16-2004, 05:42 PM
seems a bit pricey to me but ill look into it...anyone else got some suggestions??
