I will soon be getting most of my upgrades for my rebel from countypaintball.com, here is my list:

ACI 4 stage expansion chamber(cobalt blue)
Macroline connection kit
Lapco Bigshot 12" aluminum
Straight shot Squeegee with sheath
Cyclone III bolt (maybe)

anything i should change?
I live in western washington so i dont usually get real cold temperatures, and when it does get cold i dont paintball, so i was considering replacing the expansion chamber with a gas thru foregrip. im not sure though on any of this!

Tell me what you think!

Personaly I would take a Low Pressure Chamber over the Expansion Chamber but that's just my opinion... Coming from a Expansion Chamber owner.

isnt the low pressure chamber the chamber right parallel to and below the barrel of the gun?

Aladar: What's the difference between an expansion chamber and low pressure chamber?

i was considering the lapco universal drop forward

Expansion chambers do more good IMO.

if they do that much good do you think i should get a 6 chamber instead of 4?

Get an expansion chamber for sure. As for Low pressure chamber versus expansion chamber... I dont really get that because the LP goes under the barrel and the expansion goes into a vertical adapter. Anyhow, get the expansion regardless of wether or not you play in the cold because no matter the weather, your gun is gonna start to freeze up and get velocity spikes when you start wailing on the trigger. An expansion chamber makes a world of difference to CO2 users.

A lpc is not necessary.it will not improve your performance. You do need the expansion chamber, the 6 stage is best because depending on the brand, it will give more surface area for turning the liquid into gas.just my 1cent.

In my experience a Low Pressure Chamber does more but if you could have both...

my gun already has an LPC, and i guess ill get the 6 stage from ACI ($35.oo), the only reason i wanted the 4 stage was because it is blue and so is the main part of my gun :)

LPC makes a huge difference. Even if you arent running your gun low pressure, it acts as a reserve of air in case your valve doesnt recharge fast enough, you will experience less shoot down, so dont say it doesnt improve performance

my gun came stock with a low pressure chamber.

alright heres an updated list:

Bob long rear cocking bolt
ACI 6 stage X-chamber
Lapco drop forward
Lapco bigshot 12"
Macroline connection kit
Straight shot squeegee with sheath

Any other things i should get or suggested changes?

Big shot barrel plug, looks like some funky kind of chess piece. I dont think regular barrel pugs fit the big shot. Other than that, set up looks good, but ultimately get what you like over what we say

oh i know, and i really havent changed anything much. ill just do a cloth wrap job on my plug and it will be fine

Don't buy a x-chamber, get a regulator instead. Really more usefull. The palmer stabilisator works very well on co2. You should also get a anti-siphon tube for you bottle, so your gun won't suck up co2.

The palmer regulator also support liquid co2 very well, so it will do almost the same job than an expansion chamber

ElectricHead

yeah but that stuff will cost too much, like 50 bucks more than what im paying right now...

Get a regulator instead of an expansion chamber! And get an antisiphon tube for you co2 bottle, so you won't really need an x-chamber anyway

three questions

what do regs help?

how much are anti siphons?

where can i get an anti siphon tube installed

regulators regulate the pressure of the air entering in your gun, so every ball you shot will travel the same distance. With a regulator, you can also set yourself the operating pressure of the gun. By lowering the pressure, you reduce the kick of the gun and make it quieter. Just get a turbo valve after and you can get your pressure even lower. (around 350 psi, instead of the normal 800 psi). You will also get less ball breaks and more gas efficiency.

Im not gonna worry about it being that great right now, ill get regs and stuff once i get my cocker in a few years or so...

ToiletSiphon, can you run a regulator by itsself or do you need an expansion chamber and/or low pressure chamber. I have a Venturi bolt in my marker (STS G2), can I keep it or do I need to upgrade to a different bolt if I go with a regulator. Also, can a regulator be used with CO2 or just HPA? Thanks.

i do have an lpc...
and yes regs can be used with both, some are better than others with each though
