and also, is there suppose to be a ball detent or something of the sort? cuz after i pump once and point down, the balls just roll out. so i have to dry fire, and then pump again for a new ball.....

Your balls are rolling out cause theyre too small. You dont have to shoot it before you pump again.
Im not sure about the maveric but if its an old design you might have to change your springs. Try getting a better paint match before you do if thats the case.

Your balls are rolling out because the all Pump guns are closed bolt (it's a good thing), and like the Autococker, once the bolt closes, the ball detent no longer holds the balls and the balls are too small for your barrel bore. Try a different bore size or "fatter" paint. As for weither or not it has a ball detent, pulling the pump back, look down the feed, the small spring you will see is the detent.

Adjusting velocity, it can only be done on the Deluxe model, which you have (I put this here because some people may not have the Deluxe). Take the huge-***** allen wrench that came with the gun and remove the barrel. Gun must be degassed. Insert the wrench into the bolt. Turn clockwise to +, Counterclockwise to -.

I dont find this to be all that effective and have mounted a regulator in the rear to double as a rear velocity adjuster as +/- psi going in directly effects +/- fps coming out. This works great!

hey. thanks alot. you really helped alot. i was wondering what that allen wrench was for. and also, it came with like a 1 inch spring....

o yea. i just tried the turning clockwise thing. u have to take the pump handle off for the bolt to turn. but when i turn the bolt, the spring sorta moves and i can turn to bolt foreve4r and ever and ever and ever. like the resistance doesnt build up. normal?

Unfortunately, yes. For some reason this is normal, and honestly, im not sure if it really does too much. The only sure fire way to adjust your velocity is via my regulator technique. As for that extra spring, it should be a little bit stiffer than the main spring in your gun now, but they can be switched to effect velocity.

if i put the regulator on my gun. does the co2 tank still screw in at the top? or like at the bottom of the handle.
