Is the LPR mod a good investiment? it really looks nice but is it better than having a new barrel? tell me what you think...
Well it depends on what else you have done to your Impulse.
The FIRST mods should be a VFF and Adjustable trigger (like a blade)
from there I could give you a whole list of other goodies that I would recomend over a LPR.
I personly feel the Vff or doing it your self with a "Iso Mod" is very valuable, but I don't personaly feel there is any real advanage to having the reg on there. Mostly I feel the LPR is for fokes that want to to a lot of "testing' of different combos of pressure and dwell while the VFF or Iso mod is more for rokes taht want the advanages, but would rather spend their time playing.

i was thinking about going with the lpr mod and i was just wondering where it is installed....if i buy a bullet front cap, can i still get the lpr mod for it?...with the lpr mod, what will my cycling presure be at?..will it be low enough to prevent chops? (sort of like the trinity on a matrix)...please get back to me asap..i am planning on ordering from FOM soon.
ALso, Fom, if i place an order around xmas, say the 22nd or 24th, when can i expect to have it?...do you work over the holidays?..how long does it take to put a marker together?..
sorry for all of these questions...theyll probably be a ***** to answer..lol..thanks anyway
:D
The most common place to put a LPR is off the fron of the vertical adapter- not the front of the valve cap. when mounted there, it does not interfear with your selection of fron caps
I have expressed my opinion on LPR a number of times- so I woun't go into the long deccission of "WHY", but simply put i do not feel a LPR is a good investment. You get better preformance with a VFF and, unless you already have the parts laying around from a cocker, the cost of a LPR is not a great deal less then the difference between a new Vision and a new not Vision (about $150)

the big reason people want an LPR is to stop chopping, but what they don't realize is that when you get the bolt pressure low enough for that, your efficiency crashes to about the levels of a matrix w/ a trinity. a much more sound investment is the vision board instead of the LPR, there are good reasons that SP didn't put a LPR on the impulse and i'm willing to take an engineers educated decision over some guy who wants his impulse to be complicated and like FOM said spend his time twisting the regs instead of playing.
