Then you could separate the good, the bad, and the ugly. Does anyone know if there are such thing. Aren't there some colleges that have paintball teams?

Some colleges have paintball clubs but they are all run by the students. I don't think many universities will pay to have their students playing paintball. It sure would be cool though.

My friends and I want to start a paintball club. We hope to get one up soon. High School teams is long away. The middle school down the street from our high school has a paintball club.

That would be awesome! But too many people think we go out and shoot each other pretending to kill each other with "alternative guns".....I think someone at my school tried it, but no good for him.

that would be a great idea. I'm doing a research report on paintball and I told the teacher this and she's like "why are you going to do a report on something that violent?" i had to explain to her that paintball is a sport and not war. Also, wouldn't you love to have a scenario game in your school? That would be the best.

It's kinda funny to see their face when you mention paintball. After I was done explaining to her, she's like "Why would your parents let you play that though. I wouldn't want my kid getting hit with a ball of paint" Then I explained that you have to wear a mask and paintballs safety record. Then she finally let me do the report on it. Heck, even some of my peers in the school are all freaked out about paintball. It's like they are afraid of it.

I wanted to get a paintball club started at my school, but my school is really paranoid about everything, so i doubt it will happen. :(

If my friends and I were to start it I have some backing. One, at least 20 kids play at our school. My mom was a teacher at my school and knows the principal. I know a member of the school board really well. Plus there is paintball's safety record. only that one guy who died in the UK after getting shot almost point blank at the back of the head, this guy also had brain and head problems. The doctor said the paintball was a catalyst in his death, but it would have happened with any blunt trauma to the head. And that's it. Look at the number of people paralyzed by other school sports. I don't want to make this into a school sport but a club for players. Maybe with this other schools would start and then we could have games between the 4 local high schools and announce them on the morning announcements and get other people into the sport. That is my main goal.

What/Where's PCHS?
I'm from Hawaii too (obviously...) and I'm just curious...
By the way, where do you buy your paintball gear? It's off topic, but there aren't too many p-ball people from here.

Oh Yeah! I heard about that place...
Have you tried paintball central? I'm thinking of getting most of my stuff there, because I'm in Hawaii Kai and pearl city is kinda troublesome to go to...

I started on at UT last year, about 80 people requested info, 15 joined and paid dues, about 3 showed up to the outings...

Hmmm... 100+ showed up to our first meeting. The whole damn classroom was packed and there were still people standing outside of the room trying to get in. about 60 paid their $5 dues and we now have about 30-40 regulars to every meeting and at least twenty go to every outing.

A little too colombine-ish for my taste, even if the school was deserted. But I have to admit schools have some of the best designs for playing paintball. There are hallways and large rooms and courtyards... the possibilites are endless. :D
And Doodler, I've heard of Paintball Central, but I've never actually bought anything from there so I'm not sure. If you want to ask some of the other guys from Hawaii about this sort of stuff, theres a Hawaii forum. Just scroll down when your on the main menu for the forums and you'll see a heading for regional forums. Hawaii has it's very own forum.

Never thought of playing paintball at an amusment park. Hehe... Scenario game in Disneyworld. "Battlefield Disney" I think that would be awesome. But it'll be one heck of a cleaning bill.

I'd like to play in sectioned off part of a city... that'd be so rad... though there would have to be something for preventing cops from stopping us =P
I've thought of the school thing before, which would also be awesome, but it's rather unlikely to happen at least where I am.

I was thinkin of going out at night (like 2-3am) and play paintballw / those foam "no mess" paintballs. that would be so sweet.. no boundaries...no eliminations..just shoot them, they have to return to base, and DO IT AGAIN.. but those damm little foam balls are so expensive.. that would be fun tho, but very risky :paranoid:
