I am fairly new to paintball and I bought the Genesis by ViewLoader. This thing was garbage. It chopped 9/10 balls and it broke after one use. (I was even really careful not to break it) So I took the thing back to the store and got my money back. I have read all of this stuff about trying out different guns and play alot to find what you are looking for in a gun. Now I have tried all of this and still I am not sure what kind of gun to buy. I was thinking of a Tippmann 98 Custom and posibly a Flatline. But I am not sure if I want this gun. All I really know is I want a great gun that costs less then 400 bucks and wont break. As far as preformance goes I want a gun that I could shoot at least 3-5 balls per/sec. And has great accuracy and range as well as hardly ever chop a ball. I have heard reviews saying that spyders suck and some say they are awesome. (Just about every spyder gun I have read reviews on was like that) And the same thing goes for Tippmann 98's. So is there anyone who can give me some helpful advice on finding out which gun I should buy?

I have read reviews one some guns and I was thinking of the Piranahs. People say they are durable and have good accuracy and hardly ever break balls. This is sort of what I am looking for. So do you guys think this would be a good way to go?
Please let me know your thoughts on this!

Piranha's Are real god markers like the sTs G2 the pro's and the new G3's there like Sryders really the same all around if you want to get down to it. You'll need to get a barrel right off the gate but most lower end markers need that. X-chambers or a stabilizer is a must if your going CO2.

I have been reading the reviews on the "PMI Piranha EXT Pro G3" and it sounds like a great gun! I plan to get a new barrel for it but not right away because people say it should be ok for a while. So I went and phoned Paintball Madness. They said they were getting a shipment in on Friday. So I asked them how much they would be selling for and they told me around 400 dollars. (This is Canadian so it isn't quite as expensive as you might think but it is still a bit of a blow but im not too sure about the price) Anyway when I get my paycheck this week I should have enough or I might have to wait for my paycheck next week. Anyways if you don't think I should get this gun let me know why.

Doctorstox are you talking Canadian money? Under 400 dollars sounds unbelievable for an Autococker or an Automag. I see them here for 6 or 7 hundred bucks!

no, i meant USD. my friend just got a 2k1 with stuff on it for 257 shipped. If u mean canadian, u can get a mag for like 250 or so, cockers tend to run a bit more.

by the way, all prices i say are in USD, not canadian, so yeah, cockers will run u about 400 canadian, and mags around 320-400 canadian, depending on what u get on them.

Im in Ontario Canada. If you know the Oshawa area of it at all then the store Paintball Madness is on Simcoe St. South. Anyway I guess I will check out Gagnon Sports in Oshawa to see what kinda prices they have and what kind of guns they have. However as far as 400 dollars Canadian for an Autococker or 320-400 dollars for an Automag would definatly be a top choise if I could find a store that would sell them for that. I also heard from other Paintballers at my school that Paintball Madness has the cheapest prices around so I might not have too much luck... :|

dude, forget stores, they have at least 20% markup, usually more. get a gun from somebody on these forums, its a better way to go. for like 300 U.S., u can get a rathet good Automag. Also, check out ebay, sometimes, u can find good deals.
