ive read the stikies so please answer my questions
ok my freind is a complete ******* he bought a used imp and has no idea how it works or how to take care of it he had it for a more than a year and idon't think he ever lubed it so he broke it and gave it to me and said i can use it if i fix it.when i took it apart the bottom chamber was filled with dust and junk the bolt was missing an oring and it had oil all over it and some in the bottom chamber, i know very little about imps im a cocker person so i have a couple of questions
does the hammer need to be loctited to the ram shaft be cause its not and that got me confused ?
i use dow 33 to lube the whole gun right?
whats the board cap? , all i know about the board is that it chirps when you turnit on and twice when you turn it off and it has a blue led in the back it blinks every time i press the trigger for some reason i think its called a criket board and its nonvision
the valve has no spring and it looks like its not supposed to have one right? do i need to lube it ?
how do i clean and lube the maxflo?
how do the dwell buttons work is it right button=up left=down?
would normal bottle orings work on the bolt if not what kind do i need and where can i get them and is the dart a good bolt for the imp?
dow 33 on whole gun. nothing else. no the New designz equalizer bolt IS the best bolt for an impulse. yes the hammer must be lock tited. stock non vision is 13.7 bps. what color is the valve, if it is black, then it should have a spring and you need to lube the valve stem o-ring after about 8000-10000 shots. if it is silver colored then it is a New Designz RIP valve (the best valve for an impy) and does not need a spring and you do not need to lube it. yes standard o-rings work on the bolt. you should find a guide to clean the max-flow in the stickies. if you look st the side of the gun with the dwell buttons, with the barrel pointing to your right, the front one is up, the bakc one is down. the adjustments are in 0.25 milliseocnd increments.
i would like to b*tch slap your freind for not doing the proper research to know how to take care of his own gun, and also for letting it get that way. how do u get dust and stuff down there!?!?!

send the gun to a registered sp impulse tech... if you want a challenge, you can do it, but go back and read the stickies again, cause all the answers to your questions were in em'....

thanx ikey im guessing he got dust inside it by not putting it away and it kept getting dust and dirt in the on/off asa and when he airs it up that dirt goes inside the gun and sticks to the walls in the lower chamber that are covered in lube i was amazed that it still worked it was just really screwed up it was leaking the bolt was sticking it was a mess
the part that really pissed me off was that he had srews for the bottomline with completely wrong threads im gonna make him buy new parts for it. he also has like 8 or 9 other guns mostly tippmanns and their all broken exept one! how do you break a freakin tippmann and he wants to get an angel !
one more quiestion whats the operating pressure on the imp?(hes got al. bolt 3orings 3hole design with ahump on the tail and a shiny chromish valve with black stem)
he has a new designz valve and a stock bolt. now take out the bolt and look down into teh gun. what color is the hammer. if it is black, then it is stock. now look at the ram. if it is silver, there is a 95 % chance it is stock. if it is very dark colored, like a very dark grey, then it is a new designz slik shot (the best ram available). if you havent notices, New designz makes the best parts. now, since you have the ND valve, i would put your pressure at about 150. turn your dwell ALL the way down (you will know when the baord makes a low pitched sould that it is all the way down). no turn your dwell up until you are shooting the velocity you want. then, from then on, use the pressure to adjust your velocity. and i must comment that if you can make multiple tippmans not work......well that is a skill in its own. i dont know how it is possible. that is deffinitely not the skill you want for a high end gun.

why don't you take out the gun's part to find out what kind they are instead of just looking down the bolt pin's slot? it isn't like it is that hard to do...

i took everything apart and it looks like the inside is all new designz parts valve, hammer, ram
more questions what is the was board, does it have eyes, whats the cap and where could i get one, is it the same as the timmy was?
basically it is teh same as timmy WAS except a timmy has beam break eyes. an impy uses reflective eyes and just uses one. the WAS board is the best board for an impy. in mode 1 it has a rof cap up to 30 bps, and in mode 2 it is unlimited (requires a white delrin bolt). it also has better dwell ajustments, better eye logic, debounce settings, how long the bolt is held back (can get you more bps if set right and you are using a halo) and it has higher solinoid voltage to help get rid of FSDO and shootdown. it also has a lifetime worranty. you can buy then from www.ratpb.com or www.wickedairsports.com and they are 150.

I have the vertical maxflo reg and does it have a little play on it? like not tight, i can move it left to right but i dont think it will unscrew, this fine?
Left to right as in unscrewing a bolt (twisting) for example but it only moves like a little but noticeable.

tighten the set screws around it's top or the lock nut on it's asa threads
