I use a M98 Custom with a flatline barrel. I am wondering if the next thing to get upgraded is a new regulator, since I have already got a new barrel. I was interested in either the air america vigilante or the black ice. But im not for sure which to get...also do I want to get the low pressure version or high pressure. Also if you have any other suggestions as far as a different upgrade or different regulator, please post that here. Thanks..

the Vigilante is only for N2 use only. If you run Co2 through it, it will freeze up the piston/oring. I would go for the PMI Pure Energy reg. They are consistant, and work good with both N2 and Co2. You cna use the Pure Energy for Lp as well as normal operation without switching springs like the Vigilante.

Yes, get a regulator. They're good for every gun. Also, I wouldn't recommend the PE regulator. I've actually heard that they aren't so great with CO2. Get the Palmer Stabilizer instead, all of Palmer's products have been EXCELLENT, plus nobody I know has complained about the Palmer Stabilizer.

well the Palmer's regs are on the expensive side. For something affordable, get the PMI, but if you have the m0ney, get the Palmer's by all means. It has incredible consisitancy, and is proven to be the best for Co2. PMI regs are pretty good with Co2. I tried it out, and it had a +- of like 6 fps. may not be the best, but it doesn't matter that much in rec ball..

Well, regulators weren't meant to be cheap. But don't just buy something because it's expensive. I made the mistake of buying an ANS Gen-X2 regulator, it's really not all that great... :(
