NDZ flame eye cover w/ EQ?

Well I'm soon getting the NDZ flame eye cover for my rat (with EQ board), but I've heard stories about how it will short out the eye if you don't cover the underside of it with electrical tape or something. And I also heard there were two different versions of the eye cover, one that worked with EQ, one that didn't. Is this true? I want to make sure I'm buying something that will work with my gun without having to ghetto-fy it.

Only use the eye covers made by WAS themselves to 100% prevent any disasters. I also think you can use the slim eye covers made by ND. At least that's what some people were doing before WAS released the eye covers.

yeh, i have also heard and seen the was milled nd i-covers shorting out the eye, but the problem is easily solved: put a small strip or square of electrical tape on the back ot the was board's eye transmitter and reciever so when you attach the i-cover, the metal will not touch any exposed soldering, etc.

Yea that's what I heard... i don't know how much/specifically where to put it though and I wanted to make sure that that rumor was correct. Any other opinions?

you could metal plactic onto the soldered connections on the eye too... why not use the WAS cover?

well ireally dont care about it, but it really doesnt look that good. i mnea you got the timmys and stuff with all that stuff and tehn you got the WAS impy with the cheapo lookin eye cover. i mean it works but sometimes you like a little bling. acutally, i really hate to think of this but.......ive been testing....TIMMYS!!! i know i know i didnt want to say it but i may just.......trade my impy for a timmy!. oh god. i doubt it will for a while but now that you can get a brand new ECX for 750, i could sell or trade my impy and get a timmy for like less than i bought my stock impy for.

Yea I just can't stand the looks of the WAS eye cover... it's hideous to me and besides I want silver accents and that thing is just..... blah disgusting.
