OK, fine. ;)

I used jasco paint stripper and brass brushes to get all of the paint off, then a whole lot of steel wool and Naxon7 to get it to a smooth pewter-like sheen. Also:

-polished internals
-polished trigger assembly
-"smoothed" power tube
-milled "tippmann" lettering
-milled rear sight w/ "peek hole"
-And for the sear spring I put in a little piece of microfiber cloth, it soaks up about eight drops of oil :)

For the handle and trigger I used 3 coats gold paint (Cant remember the name) and two coats Polyuerethane clear cote.

Plans are:

-get a smooth profile reg (preferably brass, if not then s'more paint)

-get a brass hose from Home Depot to replace the stainless one.

-Maybe replace the connecting arm to brass, then mill off part of the sight rail to make it exposed.

-brass asa & drop, I may just make them from bar stock.

And then some basic aftermarket upgrades. I had fun making it, and now there is no way in hell I could make myself sell it.

Glad to se people like it, Now all i need a spinning chrome rim on the frame. :P

I like that trigger job.

If you use CO2, then an expansion chamber would help you out with consistency. Hard part would be getting the x-chamber to match your marker. I guess the same method could be used or just find some paint that's really close or at least sets it off well.

Lovin' that paint job. I'm thinking of sanding off my Silver/Black fade on my 98c, and just leaving it silver.

Couldn't help but see you wanted to use a lot of brass pieces with this project. There are two things that you want to remember.

Brass is a very soft metal and therefore you can't knock it around very much this would be expecially pertinent in relation to the hoses and connectors.
Brass also tends to tarnish and get nasty and corroded if it is not given plenty of vanguard care.

If it works it'll be beautiful good luck with this project keep us posted as it goes along.

Stamp some jewels into it and paint everything that isnt gold either pink or purple, get leapord print grips, then stick a feather in it.

I like the color scheme. But I would suggest swapping out that trigger and getting a metal blade instead.

If you haven't bought the brass pieces, look into something else. Like Coenen mention they have a tendency to corrode easily and then they get all nasty and stuff. If you wanted brass to match the paint scheme, then get aluminum which can be anodized at a business or even in your own home.
