JUST got my brand new defiant today. Gassed it up with my low pressure crossfire tank, screw on my boom stick, and shoot. It was loud, i mean loud. So i thought it was working, go in my back yard, put a ball in and shoot, it goes 5 feet then hits the ground. I screw in the velocity all the way, shoot, goes about 6 feet. What do I do? The tank had about 1000 psi left and the reg was reading 3x input pressure.:pissed:

Just cause it's loud means nothing.
What are your regulator settings (all of them) Tank reg, Main reg on the gun, and try this, does the bolt have alot of pressure or alittle pressure on it if you gently push on it...
these are all ways to set pressures and if one is off, so are the rest basically.

well if its a older generation defiant,it could be the lp crossfire
there set at 450 for the input pressure,my defiant with a stock
reg requires 500 for a input pressure.
Also the LPR takes time to brake in,this is a major pain
gas up your gun, back the lpr screw out, make sure your bolt is all the way forward, then very slowly creep the screw in until the bolt moves back, like the second it starts to move back, pull the trigger a few times then creep it a bit more until it cycles fully
it's tricky
and finally make sure your bolt isnt in upside down ,pull the pin,
make sure the big hole on the side is facing down ,then carefully
put the bolt pin back in,make sure you line it up with the hammer
and it locks in

Fixed the problem! The battery was old. I know it doesnt mean anything if it was loud. I was just saying that. Its alot quieter when cycling with paint. Shoots fast =]

I should have known better. thats happened to me once. but like as in life with a bushmaster or defiant. you always check your regs first.
