Some good mid level barrels in no particular order: J&J Ceramic, Lapco Bigshot, SP Progressive/Teardrop, CP 1 Piece, Dye Xcel. All of these are good barrels with a good paint to barrel match.

As I have already stated paint to barrel match is important. You must shoot balls that are smaller than the barrel or else you break paint.
That is the entire basis behind the article you linked to. Nowhere in that article does it say paint to barrel match is not important. It simply points out 2 things. 1. With todays markers its more about not breaking a ball rather than being accurate. Using a .695 bore barrel ensure you don't break in the barrel due to a misshaped ball 2. If your gun is fast enough who cares about a slight loss of accuracy? I believe the motto is accuracy by volume.

$60 for a tippman barrel? Ouch. Spend $40 and get a CP 1 piece. On the future, search, or heck, look at the first page, there're plenty of which barrel should I get? and is this barrel better than that?
