View Full Version : Public Paintball Consequences
What are the consequences if you are caught playing paintball in an area other than a paintball field?
Just wondering, because there are some woods nearby my house that some friends and I would like to play in, but we're not sure of how much trouble we'll get in, and the risk of possibly being shot at because of the mistake of noting a marker as a gun.

If the woods are on your property, or are a good distance from where people usually are, you should be fine. My brother's friend and I sometimes play in the creek near his house. It's isolated enough that nobody cares.
Ok, good, because that's probably similar to this area. Very secluded, and rarely ever passed over. The closest actual public place it's near is the parkway, and it's a good distance from there.
Any idea what would happen if we were caught?

If you were caught by other people just put barrel plugs in and show them you're being safe and not hurting anything or defacing property.
If you were caught by the cops, drop your marker and follow his instructions. Not really sure what would happen. The cops around my place are pretty cool, as long as we're not causing trouble they don't care, so I've never gotten in any trouble.

my friends and i were playing in the woods, and i guess we were a little too close to the neighbors and one of them called the cops. the cops showed up and had their guns pointed at us. then they had us put our hands behind our heads and lie down on or stomachs slowly. they were gunna take our guns away but my friends dad convinced them not to. just stay away from houses and people!

If it's not your property, you'd darn well better get the property owner's permission before you step on the land. Nothing gets me worse than hunters and paintballers that trek onto someone else's land without their permission and start shooting...
