i take offense to you calling me a freak...in order to play you need a good marker 300-700, plus field fees 2 bucks a week, you need paint 120 a month for 2 cases of allstar, and yearly expenses add up to more than the cost of your gun. i would laugh at anyone who can get by playing paintball for a year with $500 or less.

I can't even guess what i spend, down want too keep track ,if i did I would cut back I think. I play once a week about 600 balls each time. No field fees or field fills,I fill my own tanks.I play woods and rec games most of the time.Field play is like maybe 4 times a year at most.Tourny fees OMG I have too stop be for I start to add up this year already.

I put 2-3 hundred, only cause I mainly play pump, and go about once every 2 weeks, and it only costs me about 10 bucks a day for balls. Plus refilling a 4oz, which costs like 50 cents.

Is pump dificult because u cant shot very fast?

Most peeps playin pump usually snipe, so there really isn't need for a fast rate of fire. If u want to play aggressive pump, phantoms, mavericks, (and if u don't want to spend much) tigersharks (I have a crystal Shark), have auto triggers. Which means all u have to do is just hold down the triger and pump. With practice u could easily get off 3-4 shots a second. In short pump is just as easy or as hard as u make it.

i play with a pump also, and my tactics change very little from when I use my electro. It is possible to be aggressive with a pump, you just have to play smarter...

Great, even if u decide u dont like pump it's not like u'll spend a fortune on balls or nething. $15 could get u through at least 2-3 games. I'm always glad to see someone else trying pump. Who know u might decide u like it better then semi play.

I spend way too much, when I'm playing regularly ... but I've been hiatus with a bum knee since March 5 ... and won't get to play until Mid-April ... so, even though I'm not playing regularly, I'm still stockpiling ... two cases of paint in the close, and at least two more to order ... plus, my birthday is right around the corner, so, even though no one else will get it for me, I'm getting myself an expansion chamber ...

Muck my wife buys mt stuff for me if she knows what i looking for. Alot of times she takes my friends too town and has them show her what i would want. Friends make sure she dont buy me junk :).As far as paint goes i do that shopping my self. Daughter got me 500 of BE once said thanks.When guys ran out of paint i give them that. :)

I don't see how you can be under $1000, if you play at any FPO field and play more than once a month. Now with pump or outlaw yes, but than I just end up playing more often (play Saturday and Sunday stead of just Saturday). But I still end up spending about the same amout money.

I just can't see spending more than 1000 a year. Don't get me wrong - I love paintball, but that's real steep. I guess i'm just thrifty. I don't play on paintball fields per se. I play in the woods with my friends so I don't need to pay any field fees. I have a "good gun" for under 300. The only thing I need to spend money on is paintballs & air. I can get my 20 oz. filled for 3 bucks, so the most expensive thing for me is paint. I can get 2000 rounds of Marbs for 56 bucks. Plus, I play with about 4 guys so I don't go through ALOT of paint. Granted - there was an initial cost when I started paintball. Gun = 150, Mask = 45, Tank = 20, Hopper = 6, Red Dot sight = 25 . Then I bought some cheap cammo for 25 bucks. Then paint = 56. So that's 327 bucks so far.

yeah i know a guy like that at our field, he has some old sheridan pump rifle and he owns a shocker. he is soo much better with the pump and 40 balls per game. he can kill half the other team (15 per team) in one game! he has a shocker also but he gits really trigger happy and he loses his guard, and alwsays gets killed early with it.

i feel sorry for you. at our field it is 2 bucks to get in and it is byop. you play for 6-7 hrs also. they are opening an indoor arena soon though and that is going to cost more they said.

let me tell you, we ,my 10 year old and my 39 year old and my old 61 yr.arsh go play every weekend sat.or sun.but only 1 day a week...we use 5 cases each time and $45.00 for 3 to get in and the air is aprox.$5.00 each......do the math.....about $1000.00 per month,now that's not easy.

Geez, some of you guys are really getting ripped off.

The field I played at yesterday cost 10 dollars (6 for field for 4 hours and 4 for 20 c02 refill) to play.

Then, their sell cases of bigball for 60 or cases of marbs for $75...which I still don't buy from them cause I can get them for under 60 at many places.

However, other things are outrageously expensive...they want $35 for a 12 oz c02 tank with pinvalve, when I can get a 20oz c02 with on/off valve for $30.

Eitherway, I feel bad for ya guys.

CO2- ranges from $2-$4
Field Fee- $10
Rentals if you need'm- $15 plus field fee, includes gun, (M98 or Spyder, your choice) mask, CO2 tank, 100 pb, etc.
They also have all kinds of barrels for rent for I think $5.
Lets see, I usually go through roughly 1 1/2 cases per day, plus $6 for air, plus $10 for entry... hmmm... I think maybe I should start using my SL-68, or playing hopperball, cause hey, I'm 16 and don't have a car yet, so I need to save for......
a new marker! Won't that look funny, close to a $200 nitro tank mounted on a $110 pump gun. Oh well.

One field I play at(Canobie in NH) is $15 w/own equipment and has Blaze(FPO) at $105 a case. Diablo Blaze!!! It's regoddamndiculous. Season pass for $100 gets you free admission and marbs for $70/cs, not bad but the walk-on newbie gets F'ed. The other (Global Park in MA) is $15 BYOP and $75 for marbs if you buy it there. $20 to rent, rentals(FPO) get PMI for $85. Both are great fields. If Canobie wasn't so damn fun and I hadn't been playing there so long I wouldn't subject my friends who are new to the sport to such prices.

No typo, I'm serious! It sucks paying $10 for 100 balls, some places even charge $15 for 100! On special occasions the price usually drops to 6 cents per ball ($6/100). Think paintball is expensive in the states? Ha, try playing in Canada.

Well played alot of outlaw but we got a tournie coming up end of june so now we play on a locale field and they are charging me 5 bucks plus 50 bucks a case of paint to use there field.

ok, i've got 400 into my spyder and i play at least 4 times a month, on most cases more and i shoot maybe an average of 250 a day. Most days i will shoot 300 or more but there are those rare instances that i will shoot like 50 or 100 a day. I play outlaw so there is no field fee or outrageous paint price and I get my 20 oz filled every other week for 3 dollars. If I do ever go to a field which is rare I will shoot like 1000 rds. I've been playing for two years so...
ok, paint and gear alone came out to 470. Hmmm... I should have done what creek did and never added it up. That's sickening. It's fun as hell though.

Well my friends 2 acre back yard is pretty inexpensive to play on. Granted, I have put in many hours of work into building bunkers and hacking through sticker bushes and what not to turn it into a playable field, but the main cost is from the paint.

So 24 weeks with 100 shots a week. I don't waste my paintballs. At (an expensive) $5 per 100. $120 plus $1 per Co2. Co2 fill is $1 per every 200 shots with my 4oz. Good efficiency huh? So it costs me about
$112 per year!! Save your money for something more important people!

thats just for my gun, i try to play everyother week when my gun is working. My mom usually pays half for paint and air and free if i dont play alot. If i buy 1000 rounds at $17 per 500 and 2 co2 fills for 4 dollars each 26 times a year. it'd be 1092 dollars a year. Thats insane now when i think about it. I'm actually on a paintball drought because i've played 2 in the past 3 months. (Damned gun)

So in total my spendings this year will be around 2062. Now think about people who play everyweek no matter what... that'd be around $2000 just for paint and air!
