EastSide Paintball opening

So this weekend EastSide Paintball is opening a new field in Mass., Anyone hear anything about it, special events, prices etc.?

All I know is that this place is AWSOME. They have 2 fully climate controled air ball fields. And they are big too. This is were I will be playing with my team this coming paintball season.

Are you guys a fairly new team? a bunch of us are new to the sport, but are hoping that after the winter, when everything heats up again, to start an amatuer team locally. Are new teams well received and accepted in the local tournaments?

And I dont think you want to start out playing AM. Its the highest level in the NEPL. And after that is the pro's. Play some rookie tourneys first then go from there.

Oh, hahah um ya, I didn't know there was a third division. But, that would be the plan....lol

As for tomorrow, we decided to get one last outdoor day in before it gets too cold and we're stuck indoors for the winter, so I think we'll try the new EastSide indoor field in acouple weeks.

Yea its in southern mass. Not to far from RW. You should go there. Its gunna be the best field around.

It's in Southern Mass. Its only a 30-45 minute drive from Providence. I drove by there the other day and it looks big from the outside. Do you know of an exact opening date? There aren't very many people on this site from Southern Mass or RI, it would be cool to see the other users from the area.

I'm from the Boston area; although I usually play at Fox4 or Playboyz (which is right on the RI border)

also note: that normal paintball tournaments that are open to rookie teams, are for players 18 and under.

Ya, Eastside's website has some decent pics of the place. My group is all local to Mass. and RI (there is 6 of us total), but we're going to save off on the indoor this week and go to Warzone in North Kingstown tomorrow. 18 under???? is that a rookie rule, what if your over 18...like say, 25 to 27??? :eyes:

25 to 27?..you'd be as old as dirt compared to the average PBreviewer...and about my age.

One thing you should note; is that terms like amatuer, rookie, novice...have different definitions in the paintball world.

refer to divisions, each with rules about who can play at what division. People in the tournament forum; will be better able to answer your questions about this than I will.
