Warpaint in Salem(indoor) has changed abit, and on Mondays, it is bring your own paint night. The entrance fee is $15, and that is it, unless you buy a case of paint(I think they still have $8 for 100 going on as well). My friend and i went last monday, and we are going this monday. Apperantly, some pretty good people have been showing up and it is busy:)

Here are my 2 cents ...

Indoor Warpaint is a muddy **** pile that needs to be renevated. They are strictly FPO and charge $8 dollars for 100 rounds. THey do all types of fills.

Warpaint outdoor. Never been there but i hear it is BYOP on Mondays, since mondays are slow business days. Other than that, i havent heard much else that is complementary about the place.

WWNW has excellent fields but it was really difficult to find. They charge about $5-$10 more then they should for paint but that isnt too bad. When i went out there i had called up before hand and the guy said i could bring my own paint, but when i got out there he got all pissed off that i wasn buying paint ... ******* ... After some play my gun siezed up solid as a rock and the guy was nice enough to loan me a gun, which made up for his less than stellar salesman ship that consisted of sheer intimidation. WW does all sorts of fills and has about 5 fields, all of which are excellent.

Since i really hate wasting money on field paint and filling i try to stay away from these places but if i didnt have a place to play i would definitly go to WWNW just because of the nicec fields and reasonable paint prices. But that is only if i'm despirate and have money.

ya i have been to WW there have great fields (best in the area IMO) and i thought the customer service was great, gene is a ver nice guy. warpaints outdoor field is BYOP, but its only open on saturdays and its not that nice of a field, its just like crates and sticks and stuff, nothing like WW. . . im gonna play somewhere next week, we (guys in this area) should agree on somewhere to meet and play.

I'm probably going to do the supergame on the 28th of April. If I do I'll see you there as it sounds like it's going to fun. 40 bucks is a lot of cash. The price of a new regulator.... ouch.. but oh well.

I'll take you out there this weekend Kreno, It is confusing trying to get there. I had to ask for directions at a hunting shop in Silverton. You end up doing a loop insilverton to get back on whatever HWY that is 213??? I guess what i'm trying to say is that the directions on the WWNW site suck. Is to scale on that map and the directions have almost no landmarks to help you navigate. Marquam's only land mark is an intersection with a store, that is about it. You could drive right pass it if you arent careful. Took me about 45 - 60 minutes to make my way out there from salem ... i wish they were closer.

Most weekends they have tourneys or team practices. We would make some good cannon fodder for them. And i guess that guy out there at WWNW wasnt that bad, but his first impression wasnt that good.

anyways, ill be at the big game, and WP indoor is byop on mondays, i should be there this monday (25th)

im hoping to test the LCD tribal, fear imp, and if time alows me to finish, monster 3.0 and a phantom monster.:D

To all who have used the outdoor warpaint, could you give me a general description of the place. There is some hamburger hill or something and that is all i know.

there is the DMZ in the front with crates and spools around, its the speedball type part of the field. then there is that hill (hamburger hill) right beyong the DMZ. up a trail to the right is the wild woods and there is like a little room built by branches there, lots more, its pretty big . . . i dunno, have you been there? . . . i think i will go to that, but i dont know if i want to wait that long to play :( . . . .

I went pbing in Feb. or something, and i haven't gone back. I want to go soooo bad, but need the $$ for the game. I need to go to the outdoor one, just haven't got around to it yet.

After i ride the bus home from school, i see people who leave their trash cans out, and next thing i know, i have a paintball war going inon my head. It is the only way i can make it.

ya definately cool, im glad to see ya here richard (me262) ya that was a real long time ago . . . i only went once after that im still debating whether i should go twice over spring break (i have 3 weeks :P ) but i think i will save my money for the big game and try to get some more money to before it too . . . .

hey richard, can you tune cockers well? mine is timed so its very hard to short stroke, but there is some blow back that i would like to get rid of . . . so far im lovin my cocker though and i dont regret the trade at all. . . .

i didnt see a shop out there . . . they have a little hut thing where you pay for entry paint and air and they keep the rental guns, but they dont have like shop or store.

im taking a case and using my 4v extreme rage half paq for it . . .

that should be plenty enough, i bought a case for it last time but it went alot faster since it was with my bushy . . . i dunno it depends how much you shoot.

Hopefully with my stock spyder, i can keep the #s down, I've been using more and more though :( . I have 500 left over from last outing, so debating whether to by a case, or half it with someone.

For packs, i've been looking at the jacko ones and the m-pack i think. the m-pack is at wp and i need to look at it.

Man, i didn't realize how spendy this thing will be for me.

Are they. Good. I was kinda hopping so cause i wanted to try them on. Couldn't try on the jacko though. I like that you can add pods to the jacko though; kinda the whole reason i started checking them out.

Is the outdoors WP open on week days, 'cuz i wan't to go and walk the field with a friend and he wanted to take pics of the land layout.

there isn't really a theme. there are bases with flags (a red and yellow) and there are objective bases for certain times and which ever team has the flag up at that base at that certain time, gets the points. most points wins . . .

we usually get raffle tickets at the beginning of the day then they raffle off prizes at the end . . .

last big game i went to, i came home with more paint then i had purchased :D

we had 4 cases, between my wife and i, then at the very last game they had a thing wanting renegades to stay in the dmz building against everyone, 4 of us volenteered my wife and i included. dan (Bonebrake) gave each person in the building a case to fire while in there, or untill you couldnt handle getting hit anymore.

than afterward he gave me 2 cases of hellfire as well :)

yeah we had 4 to start, (god knows why, we thought we needed it) ended up going home with 5 1/2 left

she just likes a plain ol spyder, but i used hers in a trade, so shes stuck with a cocker, elcd mag, tribal or custom millenium now, if she ever chooses, i think shes wanting the millenium.

at that game i had a beat old cocker, and monster v.1

ya i remember those, i almost went in there but i was kinda scared :rolleyes: one guy came out looking like a rainbow, he was (and his marker) completely coverd in different color paints, it was awesome. i always run out of paint before the end of the last objective (DMZ), thats when it gets crazy ;)

and richard - Dang! 4 cases?! did you plan on shooting all of it? :eek: . . . wouldn't be too hard with that tribal ya had though :wink3:

For ME: Do you have pics of your guns? I have never heard of a millinuim, or a monsterv1.

Since i have got spring break off, i hope i can do something to my plain ol spyder, so it isn't stock anymore, and get some more bps.

im sure they will have the DMZ, i dont see why they wouldn't and thats where the tourney players spend most of there time. i usually dont even play on it until the end, but i am going to play on it more this time, i need to practice . . .

Just signed up yesterday, and i can't wait t'til the 28th. My dad just got a Black Dragun, and that thing can go through paint like nobodies business. Now i am taking aleast a case, maybe another half. I know one guy who is taking 5 cases :eek: That just seems extreme to me.

The dragun is for him, but he is so weird: He gets it and then i invite him to come and play. He says, "Oh, no. I'll probably take 2 steps and then nailed. I am too new to play. I now, i'll have one for each arm." :rolleyes: . No matter how many times i explain it to him, he just says that, basically. I'll get him to play sometime (i hope he just didn't buy the gun to play in the back yard :| )

I just asked him, and he is still like "maybe". He and I are pretty close, we used to go scuba diving alot. He has played once, he used a rental pump and out of 50 shots, 2 left the barrel in a ball shape and traveled more than 5 feet. He could basically spray-paint the guys.

One person i can't wait to play against is my cousin. He is so funny. He is really shy and plays like that on the field, and then he does the craziest things like charge the other side all by himself. He is also fun to shoot. He hollows really loud. Occasionally i give him so not so "friendly-fire" just to hear him hollow. I know its mean, but so funny :laugh:

My cousin and i drove out to the outdoor warpaint. Man, they need better signage. We drove past the entrance a few times, and then finally entered the road w/ all the mailboxes, and drove up to the cattle walkway thingy, and say the sign "No trespassing", so we turned around. We finally just drove past sign after we had already trepassed on about 5 different places. It is really nice and quiet ou there.

I just can't wait to go play, but i hope the rain dries up :(

What time do you guys plan on showing up? My cousin and i are meeting people @ the W. Salem McDonalds as a rally point at 6 am. We were told to get to the field early for a good spot.

ya, im not sure. . . did you find it? ya its a little gravel path that you go down the left, all they have out is a peice of paper and for the game they put out a little wooden sign. i live like 5 min from the field, but my dad and i are gonna get some breakfast first (not sure about 6 though, the field doesnt open til 7) then go up there and walk and probably eat our food there . . . we'll be there pretty early for parking . . . if you see me, feel free to come up and say hi. you'll probably see my gun and my hopper says "VeNoM" on it with orange stickers. . . its gonna be fun, i think i'll have trouble sleeping tonight . . .

Ya, we found it. The reason we are going so early is that Vincent told the guy that we are meeting to get there early, so we thought we would just camp out 'til the field opens. I haven't been able to sleep very well in anticipation. I'll look for you. If you see me first, i'll probably be wearing my mismatching camies, and a baseball hat, black w/ red bill. I'll show up in a small, nissan truck, ugly tan, and be the passenger. I'll probably be shooting my dad's blue black dragun, and have a nitro tank. I am soooo pumped. I can hardly stand it. I probably won't be able the sleep. I was at warpaint today, and the shop was busy!! I was exchanging paint (btw, vince = great guy). He told me that they had already signed up 250 + a team from Bend might be coming (or something like that). :eek: It is going to be hopping there.

Venom: is just your dad coming w/ you? I thought you had a brother too (i could be wrong from excitement i have clouding my brain ;) )

Man that was fun! I am glad i went! So many people were there so you didn't have to hunt hard to find the enemy. After today, and seeing the plethera of guns (markers :| ), i have been giving some thought to getting an autococker. Those things are so cool. I felt really stupid, 'cuz i was in such a rush to get on the field, i never asked to shoot someone's :rolleyes: . Anyway,very fun,well worth while.

That sux. I was looking for a guy w/ a tribal all day, but never say one. That explains it. It was really good. Especially the fighting in the DMZ. Both sides gained control of it and then lost. Red won the game (good job team). I thing that took me by suprise, was the amount of space in the game. I walked from the red base, basically to the yellow base a few times and it took awhile. Very good game, enjoyed it emmencly (sp?) and can't wait to go to the one in the fall.

ya it was pretty fun, not much different than any of the others i have been too, the weather was great too. i didnt find my barrel condom, so now i have to use a barrel plug :( i dont like barrel plugs . . . they just shoot off if shot into. . . my gun was shooting great (i turned it up to about 270) and i loved it, until i chopped then they were flying all over . . . ah well, i had fun and i still have paint left . . .

I still had paint at the end aswell. About 1,000 or so. It is nice coming out w/ paint from a game. 'course i ended up w/ 2 cases, and 300 loose end balls. I want to go back to the field for some sat. games. I like the field alot more than the indoor one: Sunshine :) (well, when there is some, I can see it), fresh air :) , bigger field ;) , and just something different :D .

ya its fun with a little less people and you get more strategic games (not just throwin mass paint across the field and one of the 50 guys out there) going. i wish they had that air guy out there all the time though . . . usually its just 3000 psi . . .

Oh, you mean the guy that was filling air at the table. He could fill to 4.5k. I saw him do it several times. I was suprised how much air my little crossfire stub held. I would go through a hopper, then 4 pods, and still have about 1,000 psi.

ya . . . im not sure when i be able to play again since i just played on monday . . . next time i play though i will most likely go to the indoor field again, i had fun there . . . its much more challenging than it used to be. my first couple games there i got rocked, then one game it was 3 on 3 and i got all 3 of the other team, yay me! :) after that i was used to the field and did better . . . you should check it out sometime . . .

congo has not been changed, not yet atleast . . . i dont know anything about the nerf paintball thing, i haven't heard about it there . . . id say its pretty different, the ripped out the whole back right corner and everything in the middle . . . the only thing left the same is the congo, the wall against the entrance and that hallway thing on the right . . . those 2 little house things are still there too . . . other than that its all airball bunkers.

Dang, they really did change it :eek: . I'm suprised Vince actually did it. That is going to be different, playing on airball bunkers. the nerfball was going to be that instead of paint, you shoot nerf balls out of your paintgun, and the game would be timed, like 5 minutes, and to win, you had to be hit the least, or hit others the most. You would stay in even when you were hit. Don't quite know any other details though. Maybe i can get more to come and play, w/ the nerf thing, then upgrade them to the real deal.

Just went tonight, I really like the lay out now. It was quite fun. Not too many there, about 8 on average. I got a few eleminations, and shot 3 times: arm, hopper, butt. The bunkers are really fun, because i thought they would be filled w/ air close to the max, when they weren't, so i blowed into one, and dragged it w/ me. Also used as shield a few times by moving it. It was alot of fun.

Did any of you guys hear that WP Indoor had to close on Sat because of a gas leak? I read it in the StatesmanJournal in the local section, in the far left column. Apperantly, someguys were making a bridge w/ wood to cross the two buildings, and the wood fell and hit the natural gas regulator. They had to evacuate and they cleared the intersection for 10 min.

Just thought it was interesting. oh, yeah, happened around 5pm.
