Vision, can you give me an exact definition?

I've been playing for about two years, and have a spyder with lots of upgrades. I've been thinking of getting an 03 Shocker, and my friend told me I should get vision with it. So, what exactly is vision? Please don't make fun of me, because I've never dealt with and highend markers.

Vision is smart part's breach sensor system. It is a anti-chop system, commonly called an "eye," that keeps the gun from firing unless there is a ball in the breach.
