Ok, I wanted to get a new barrel for my spyder Xtra and i really wantted to get a barrel that isnt too picky on paint. Im thinking of getting the auminium but the only problem is that they only come in black(atleast thats they onlycolor i could find online.) and it would look really bad on my Steel blue Xtra. Does anybody know if the Aluminums come in a silver or chrome? if not how do the Stainless barrels compare besides weight and paint match?? Thanx All.:D

No, alluminum dyes are black, and only black. Personally, I think you would be better off getting a stainless steel dye. Man alive, i have one for my cocker and its crazy how accurate it is. Dyes arnt that picky on paint, i think the stainless is a small bore though.

Yea, Im starting to lean torwards the SS but i heard that that its a medium bore. I heard that it balances really nicely with the gun so yea i might get that. Can anyone tell me any other good barrels that would look good and perform well?? thanx

Im pretty sure that ss dyes are 687, maybe 688, cant remember. Proballs work great in them. Yes, They balance the gun out nicely, everyone says they are so heavy but man, it feels light next to my lapco.
Here are barrels i like and that look great
Dye SS (duh)
Lapco SS bigshot or autospirit
CP one peice/two peice, both very nice
Boomstick
All American Teardrop, AKA Bigdaddy
Those are all great choices. Oh and if you decide on a Dye ss i think you can get them for 60 dollars at xpaintball.com
