I like playing paintball in the winter. It is alot different than playing in the summer or fall. You can make snow forts and have fun trying to hide yourself with camo that is to total oppsite of what you should be wareing. I was just curious if anyone had any neat ideas for play in winter, like games. I also would like more idea's to keep CO2 efficiency up. I have an X-chamber but at some temp. it doesn't seem like enough.:freak:

Winter is an offseason time to upgrade and clean your marker :)

If you have nothign to repair or upgrade, just play indoors, its still fun.

Plus Co2 + Winter = FREEZE

snow = cold .. besides up in the mountains (yes colorado rocks..snowboarding in shorts baby :) ) .. but if you are talking about winter w/ no snow and no cold, i dont count that as true "winter" .. so that would be fine.. i mean, it would be just like normal paintball

but if theres snow (like he was talking about in the first post) then i think it would be a little too cold (or the snow would melt silly :wink3: )

I only have one indoor feild near me and he doesn't take walk ons. My tippmann 98 works even though there a sheet of ice on it. I'm to cheap to use nitro. but i do replace all the inside o-rings after winters over. I think stuff goes down a little in price. there are tons of x-mas deals floating around.:freak:

to play out-doors in the winter you just need to put a hot hands hand warmer on the exp. chamber...........and you'll be set ;)

Never use heat packs on any part CO2 passes through. You can increase the pressure of unregulated CO2 well in exess of 1500 psi which is not safe

I have done that twich and it has never spiked on me. Before each game I chronoed and it was 275-285 the whole time. It worked well for me.

I'm not worry about my gun internals. Tippmann 98 customs guts were bulit to take the harsh liquid CO2 and work like a dream.
good idea with those hot packs. Would a thremal sock or blanket around the tank help at all?

you should just use nitro in the winter. its much healthier and cleaner forr your markers internals.

The only time me and my friends play is in the winter/fall/spring. Summer is our off-season. Kinda opposite from everyone else. Summer is too hot for masks and our low-price ones can't take it. Too much foggin'! Winter has never caused me problems. I love it!
