04 freestyle (with ups) vs. 05 freestyle

Okay, shorepaintballsupplies just got 05 freestyles in selling for 850$ They also have 04 freestyle with HE bolt, 2gen electronics, and 2engen valve, also a free halo b your choice of color. Now which gun is better? Do the russian legion freestyles and naughty dogs freestyles out perfom them?

I like the looks of the 05 alot better, but I think other than that yeah they're the same. I already have a Halo so I'd get the 05. But if you dont have a Halo yet, get the 04.

I'd go with the 05. It comes with the second gen. stuff, the HE bolt (I've been told), and also if you call them and order on the phone you can get a cheaper price than advertised on the computer.

04s come will the second gen valve, electronics, and HE bolt also.

Even if you did have a halo it would make sense to get the 04 b/c you would get a free halo and you could sell it. Also which ever one's is lighter would probably be better.

I know, I'm just telling him the 05 comes with it too, so don't chose the 04 over it just because the 04 comes with that stuff. From his first post, I thought he might have thought only the 04 came with those goodies.

Okay so if I had the money I would choose the 05 over the 04, now with that said I have been looking at shockers latly and was wondering how the 05 freestyle would compare to the shocker. Now this is assuming the shocker has vission and HE bolt; which I know is more money but it could be worth it for all I know.

I don't know all the facts, nor to I won't to get completely off topic in this thread, but from what I've read and heard from others, I'd get a FS because:
-Lighter
-Better Trigger
-Less expensive for pretty much the same setup.
-Heard bad things about Max-Flows on the Shocker
-Faster board (I believe)

^yep, thats most of it. I actually like the Shocker trigger, but its no better than ICD triggers. I kinda like the Shocker except for the massive FSDO, but I'd take a Freestyle over a Shocker any day.

Also remember, break beam>reflective.

The Shocker max-flo is junk. Most ppl I know who have Shockers have CP's. I've seen about 4 Shocker inlines break, including my own. Supposedly SP has taken care of this problem, but I still see it happen. I even installed the "redesigned" piston in my inline, I've done everything I can except send it to SP (never gonna happen-its not worth the money for shipping), and it still doesnt work.

so the 05 is like the 04 but it comes stock with HE bolt, 2end gen electronics and 2 gen valve? Also shores ended their sale on the 04's you can still get a free halo b with them but not the upgrades you used to be able to get.

At this point in time, they are the exact same gun, just with different milling.

The link above has markers that are not the standard FS's but these are not the finalized 05 FS's.

Unless ICD is just completely lying to me the final 05 FS will not be out until the early part of March.

This marker is simply a 04 with new milling for the body.

Why is it all the smart parts shooting teams ended up in 1st or second (with the exception of russain legion)? I am not trying to say that shockers are better b/c the pros use them, its just that I havent seen a single freestyle yet. Why? Arent the freestyles better? Oh also I havent seen Russain Legion shooting their custom free styles yet. Plz some one inform me here on why this is occuring.

ICD calls the new versions 05's. That's what we are selling. They are the same price as th 04's. BTW, ICD doesn't have any more 04's, except some with slight blemishes.
If they come from an unnamed major distributor,they may not have the HE bolt and upgrades.
There will be a couple of other "upped" versions in the spring but the features haven't been finalized.

ICD is currently selling a limited # of 05 FSs. These markers are true 05s. The current 04 FSs you buy from ICD have all been upgraded to the 05 standard. So it is true that the only difference between the two will be milling.
