Should I put a boatload of cash into my basically stock RJR, and I mean stuff like Predator 2 and all NDZ internals and stuff; or should I sell the imp and grab a new octane shocker for about the same price?
true, but when i look at guns i know that any high end gun will be more than anybody needs with speed, they will all be acurate with good paint and barrel. i look for quality of parts/eyes, craftsmanship/anno, the genral feel and balance of the marker/weight, and kick. when picking up a timmy i realize great quality and very light weight. i love the feel of the trigger and the trigger frame. it was a very smooth shooting makrer but for spending that much money i would want something with a little less kick. granted it was about a pound lighter than my impy which is a factor, and really it didnt kick tons, but i walked it for 32 shotd and i did notice that barrel moving quite a bit. if i picked up a shocker and fell in love with it i would take it over the impy regardless of the effiecency it if was worth it to me (and you can get parts to fix that). i was acutally thinging of getting a timmy untill i saw some guys messin around with a dm4 last time i played and this guy was walking it damn fast and i really had to try hard to see the barrel move. that gun is perfectly still nomatter how fast you fire and it a damn nice feeling marker. and i am turned off of timmys cause i constantly see them break down.

if you want to sell your gun, don't buy an octane shocker, buy a shocker, a tadao board, a he bolt kit, and a new reg.
if you want to deal with selling your gun, then go for it, but the no shocker will perform any better than the impulse you said you'd build up-the only thing is that the shocker is smaller/lighter.
if you go shocker though, don't waste your money on a custom shocker...
once again waht is wrong with the new style maxi? it is still GREAT performance but much much smaller and lighter. are there any negatives? i dont get you people.

TPD, a new reg? It's the the max-flo, just in a hot new dress after a few years at weight watchers. Is there something I'm missing because I thought internally they did not tweak it at all.

the new style maxflo seems to be a bit more finicky with it's seals. i have seen more problems with the new ones than i did with the older ones. again, not a "have-to-have" upgrade, but a new reg for a shocker is, after everything else is said and done, definitely a good idea.

unless you have tons and tons of money, why even get a custom shocker? they don't wieght less, or perform any better (none have he bolt kits as of now), so other than cosmetics, what's the point...

Yeah Nasty Shockers come with them too. So it is cheaper to buy a Nasty then it is to upgrde a stock Vision Shocker to have all the Nasty features. Oooo that was nasty.

actually it would still be cheaper to buy a shocker and upgrade it... but anyways, yeh that nasty would be the best custom shocker i've ever heard of or seen; yes, the ff shocker come with ff bolt kits, but they don't really work as well as sp's bolt kit, so, they don't count :P

hey im really the only one here who has a custom shocker(dynasty) i believe but it is true if u just took a regular shocker and upgrade it up but its been said before....they are so pretty
o and in my suggestion u should also look at them Dark Shockers too, but the shocktech one is also nice but overpriced....all shocktech guns are....

Dark Shocker- www.warpedsportz.com
Shocktech Shocker- www.shocktechusa.com

Actually it is a little bit cheaper to get a nasty then it is to upgrade a stock vision shocker. Lets review:
Vision Shocker~825$
HE Bolt~80$
Clampise Norise~30$
New Trigger~30$
Freak Back(already comes with AA front)~50$
Freak Insert-10$???
Faster Programming~20$???
(correct me on these prices)
-----------------------------
Total- 1005$ give or take a few dollars.
With the nasty you get premium annodizing and cosmetic milling. Nasty is the best deal on a new shocker at this current moment. Too bad I dont like how it looks.

the toxic is nice too
Yep, if you like ugly (IMO), overpriced guns that is. Seriously that is the worst custom shocker I've ever seen. Freak back, clamping feedneck, and a custom anno. All for 1125$. Where do I sign up? Basically all custom shockers are a waste of money except the nasty.

Bolt kit: 80$
Mini Morlock: 130$
CP Two Piece: 70$
Shocker: 700$
or
Nasty: 1000$
