im pretty much new to paintball and iv desided to go wit a tippy. for the 2 months i have been looking at paintball i learned alot of things. but then i don't have a gun yet :). Well i made a list of everything im going to get by spring hopefully. Ok here is my list:
First i will get the gun (Tippmann 98 custom - Black) for x-mas
Then for my birthday (January 3) im going to purchase: V-Force Armour mask, T-bar squeggie, 20 oz Co2 tank with Smart on/off switch, and a PMI pefect cradel.
Then in febuary, when i get enough money im going to get a CP one piece 14' barrel-Black, and a ACI 4 stage expansion chamber.
Then i think im pretty much set for pball (except for not having paintballs). Well how does this sound?

Not bad, except for your barrel. I'd go with either a Smart Parts All American, or a J&J Ceramic...

i think i might change it around a little bit... im thinking of getting a rev before the expansion chamber and changing the barrel to a Small Parts 12' teardrop. I don't think i will be playing in rain or in the winter, well i dunno....

Here is a BIG tip. First, get your m98c as a package. That should include gun, mask (try to get a thermal mask, and not the 32* Head Case. Ask if you can exchange it for another mask.) It should have a hopper, oil, barrel plug, sqeegie, some paintballs, and maybe a harness. It will be MUCH cheaper that way. Play with it stock a few times, and figure out what you need. Before I got my tippy, I made a list of what I wanted. That list changed ALOT after I played with it only the first time. Just get your neccessities and play. Then get your upgrades. You may find you need a stock, or a rocket cock, or nitro. First play with it, then decide. I thought I knew alot of paintball before I went playing for my first time with my own gun over a year ago. I found out that I was dead wrong. Advice helps, but the only way to learn is with experience.
I cannot stress enough to get your m98c as a package. Since it is one of the most popular beginner guns, everywhere offers it. Just search around for the package you like most for the best price you can find. Never purchase it all seperately.

well im from canada and the majority of the online stores are in the US. I don't want to get anything from the US because of the exchange rate, tax, and everything else needed to get over the border. I don't really want to get a package because I usually want something different in it. Im getting the tippy hopefully for christmas. Then for my birthday coming up shortly after i get my marker, im going to get the "neccessities" and the drop forward or a rev because i will have left over $$$. Then in febuary im going to get the barrel and the expansion chamber. Iv read these forums for 2 months now and got a lot of information on "what to get". Well i have pretty much nothing else to say :)

It'll be your loss. You can pretty much find what you want in a package, especially since you are getting the neccessities and no real extras. Go to www.countypaintball.com and read their policy of Build Your Own Package (http://www.countypaintball.com/byop.asp)
It should fit your needs and provide a great discount even with the exchange rate.

then let it be my lose :D. Just joking. I just don't feel like ordering from the US. I want to order it close so i can get it fast.
