i found 2 ppl that r willing to sell me their markers.

1) used Minimag with dye 10" stainless steel barrel, PMI Regulator,: $230 (no stars left)

2) Used Tippmann A5 with Flatline, response trigger, Low pressure kit installed: $245

None of these include shipping or taxes because they are local. sellers are both private because they are close friends of my parents. I am a newbie with a stock spyder rodeo and I feel I don't need to upgrade it since i can get one on the markers shown above.

which 1 is a better deal?

Thanks

Most fields aren't even allowing response triggers anymore.

Minimag is a better deal. Make him come down a little more though. Also, if you get the 'Mag, sell the reg, and buy a gas-through.

Mag. Upped mag> Upped A-5. You'll probally like it, I just never liked mags too much.

Yeah, buy the mag and ditch the reg. Its pointless to have a reg on a mag.

One of the few times when I say "go for the mag".

You won't get laughed off the speedball field with the 'Mag.

Wow I hate to be the only one but......for the price the A-5 is a better deal.

A basiclly stock minimag for 230 with no stars left? not worth it...drop around 300 at agd and get a new automag with all the stars. Really its not worth the price.

Now dont bash me for telling the truth...I love agd and mags probley more than you (I own over 20 [in my prohop but still])
and I preach the good word of agd, but the A-5 is a better value for what its offered.

HOWEVER I must say in closing dont buy either...save up 100 more and check out agd or white wolf airmithing and get a nice automag with some upgrades and a real warenty. Plus the guys at AGD as anyone hear will tell you have one of the best customer service lines. They know what theyre talking about and want to help you unlike some other companys.

So i should take the mag. The only problem is , im not quite familiar with the internals ( or any High- nd semi) and it has to warranty stars left if i encounter a problem. Also, i heard that any mags dont work very well with a Co2 system.
i cannot afford a HPA system (and extra $100) so should i go with the a5?

You can probably find a nice deal on a used tank.

A mag with a classic valve will run on co2 or hpa. No problems with co2.

Look at them for 30 seconds and you'll be familiar with them...
