the ball detent on the maverick deluxe

i have maverick deluxe and i noticed that when you pump it.


(pull back) it reveals the ball detend srpring and the ball goes in.


so now the ball is between the detent and bolt at half pumped.

then..


(bring foward) it pushes the ball over the ball detent so when i point my gun slightly down, the ball rolls out of my gun.


isnt the ball detent suppose to keep if from rolling out? but how can it do its job when the ball gets pushed over it by the bolt?

works the same way with all closed bolts....

its only supposed to prevent the ball from going down the barrel, letting a second follow(creating massive problems) You need to buy a bigger paint.... had the same problem with my phantom and marbs:rolleyes:

ack. thats crazy. why didnt they just make the detent a little freakin further..

but thats my point. it doesnt prevent the ball from going down the barrel? it pushes it so it goes down teh barrrel. and what is IT anyway? i think ur refering to IT as the ball detent.

yes, it was the detent. But the barrel should be restricting the ball from rolling out the barrel, The dentent is only there so you don't load 2 balls at once.
