my bko turned into chop city

i had stock barrel
then i used a jj ceramic and it choped less but was still choping abit
q loader ( it wasn't going to slow )
using hot box paintballs ( alright paint like 7.6 outa 10 i would say )
using compressed air

maybe it was becasue i never cleaned out the barrel but then i switched and i still choped

but it was painty in the bolt area

i was talking it to 14-18 bps

I'm thinking its your detents. If you havent done the macroline mod to them, you may be double feeding. Do the macroline mod, there's a section about it in the FAQ.

If you HAVE done the macroline mod, then maybe it is slicing paintballs because the detents are too stiff. In this case, take the macroline out.

Also, are you sure they arent barrel breaks? was the paint swelled? Are you sure it wasnt too big for the barrel? An easy way to tell is chops generally get paint on the bolt and in the detents. So if your bolt and detents are clean, then you just have barrel breaks because of crappy paint. good luck!

he said their's paint all over his bolt, the paint might have been weak if it was old or cheap, maybe try better paint

The paint might have been too brittle, the qloader is one strong friggin loader....

Make sure your feed hose has a nice gentle curve to it with no sharp turns to hinder feeding. This will allow you to use fewer prewinds and still get a good feed rate. The less prewinds, the more gentle the qloader will be on the paint. Try only using 8 prewinds on the qloader and see if it's fast enough, if it is, try 7, and so on......when I'm shooting brittle paint i usually only use 8 prewinds....sure it knocks the speed down to like,20bps:rolleyes: ,but you don't break paint anymore.
