i think you'd be better off with a tigershark, its a little cheaper and can probably shoot faster. (no joke) and the barrel is a 9 incher as opposed to the stingray which was a 6 incher.
i used to have my ray. here's the facts: i paid 130 bucks for a package. i sold it recently (just the gun) for 35 bucks.
i bought a rebel deluxe.
the ray is okay but the trigger pull is very hard, and you get bashed for having a plastic gun. the only problem i had with mine was a cupseal. all you do is flip it around and it forms a good seal.
so you would end up saving over a 100 bucks in the long run by spending an extra 5 bucks now.
the spyder sport is only 80 bucks at wally world.
and it has a foregrip, drop forward, and its a spyder (lots of upgrades)

i think rios is right. the tigershark is much more accurate and a decent cheap pump. i had i stingray, and i didn't hate it, but i didn't like it. not very good accuracy, hard to cock, liquidizes co2. if you can't get access to a tigershark, the stingray would be okay.
the spyder compact is much better for only $20 more.

As far as any other gun if its at the same fps.
TIPS
i dont want to be rude, get whatever you want, but a spyder sport will be such a better descision. I had a stingray and i basicly hated it.
Quick and moneyless upgrades: Take apart the gun and grab the trigger frame. Take a bolt and drill it through the frame, from the back to out the other end, behind the trigger. Screw it all the way forward. Gass up your gun. Hold down the trigger. keep adjusting (truning) the bolt backward untill the gun fires. You now have a trigger stop, it will help with the heavy pull.
To make a foregrip (you need to have a 9 oz co2.) take the little 12 gram adapter and super glue it where ever you want the grip to be. I took a pvc pipe conector with the right threads to screw into the adapter. Then i just superglued the plastic to plastic... much easier than just trying to glue the metal to plastic. Yep, they sure do make some quality upgrades for the sting.
All that is of course if you dont buy a better gun

the stingray is not worth how much they are selling it for. The samurai, blade, and talon are HORRIBLE guns. DO NOT BUY THEM OVER A STINGRAY. Although a stingray beats those guns, teh avenger, raptor, and spyder compact are sooooo much better. Believe me you will really regret not putting in the extra 20$. A spyder compact can shoot twice as fast, twice as accurate, and it has much better quality. Please consider this seriously and save the extra money.
